Is anyone stretching out service intervals this year?

I service my cars depending on the weather, doesn't look like my car will be serviced this side of new year now. I also don't care about the service history of my 12 year old car.

A new car, that would be going in to the dealer as scheduled.

I service both of our cars in the warmer months, they're old and out of warranty anyway so it just makes life easier.

Oil and filter every year, brake fluid etc every 2 or however many years recommended. Doesn't hurt to do it as same time as new pads or discs though.

Always good idea to get service before MOT so no surprises

Once a colleague had an oil leak so I asked him when was it last serviced? He said never..

Not stretching it out but our Polo should have been serviced late November but it hadn't been driven since June!

We insured it and put an MOT on it last week so I'll get it serviced and make sure we start using it again which is logistically easier now the MX5 is wrapped up for winter.

In answer to the OP, yes - I'm skipping the yearly service on all 4 cars this year as they have barely been used. Changing oil & filters after 2000 miles is a waste of oil & filters...
