What TV shows are you currently watching

Started watching Vikings, finding it abit meh 3 episodes in, does it get any better ?

Absolutely, found it quite slow in season 1 and not really much fun for the first half, picks up a lot later in the season.

Season 2 of Vikings would be in my top 10 seasons of any show ever though.

Quality drops off a cliff massively mid season 4, I persevered through to season 5 but have now given up on it.

Just finished watching season 1 of "Cobra Kai." It's just what the doctor ordered with all the doom and gloom that's been visited upon us this year. Nostalgic, tongue in cheek, lighthearted entertainment, with some good characters. Think I'm of an age where the time period just resonates so made me laugh way more than I expected.

Finished Mandalorian season 2 last night and will echo a few other comments that the final episode is truly great, the rest of the series is good, it's not worth the high and lofty pedestal it's been put on though.

Tiresome chases, rapidly multiplying stormtroopers who are easily killed...yes we know they're a bad shot, we don't need a reminder every episode, totally formulaic episode formats.

For the grumbles though, it absolutely captures the spirit of Star Wars and is mostly entertaining, baby Yoda is great in every scene and re-emphasises the use of a puppet over CGI.

So many cameos, my favourite of which was Richard Brake but honourable mentions to Timothy Olyphant, Titus Welliver and Michael Biehn.

Overall, maybe an 8/10 series, great moments across both seasons let down by some poor narrative choices and lazy writing and poor guest directors, Bryce Dallas Howard, i'm looking at you, weakest episodes of both seasons directed by her.
Yes this has grown on me. Kind of half watched the first season, but really got into S2. Actually enjoying better than S4 of The Expanse. As you say some great guest appearances. Looking forward to watching the final episode later.

Sweet Home on Netflix
South Korean horror about people trapped in a block of flats while everyone outside turns into monsters.

First episode pretty good. On to the second now.

And for once, English dubbing at a competent level!

Death to 2020 - enjoyed this, impressive cast and quite a fun review of the year. Would probably have preferred a normal Wipe though.

I'll agree with that assessment but add that I did think Season 6 picked up again and am looking forward to the second half starting this week

Two episodes into vikings, its OK I guess. Will persevere for a bit.

I'll quote my post from the other day :) Noticed a few folks starting Vikings lately, any particular reason?

I've seen a few comments about Raised by Wolves of late and they weren't adding up for me as I'd seen it a while ago ... turns out there's a new thing by Ridley Scott, and over Christmas they didn't just show a rerun of that program about a couple of weirdo kids, haha... makes more sense now.

The Undoing - 7.5/10

Good to see Hugh Grant doing something different than the usual character he plays.
Overall a very good series, we binged the six episodes in the day as we were rather hooked, although
ending was a bit of a let down.

Watched all 8 episodes of Power: Book II.

Just as good as Power, didn’t miss the regular characters at all, Tariq was always one of my favourite characters in the show.

You're literally the only person I know with anything good to say about Tariq, I thought he was a personality vacuum in Power and following the ladybird book of 'angry rebellious child' acting.

Does he at least have some character development in book 2? If it were based on any of the others, i'd have probably watched already.

Have watched Bridgeton in the background over the past few days. Quite enjoyed it. There’s an astonishing amount of sex in it later on. The female lead is stunning but the male lead, my god. He is earth shatteringly handsome!

Last season of the The Sinner on Netflix (3 in total) a series which reminds me of a cross between Wallander and Jesse Stone.

Not as gruesome as some series, neither falls into the usual trap of chasing after a psycho, which makes for a refreshing change.

Good acting and cast, would recommend if you like slow burner murder investigation 'who dunnit' type series.
