Sweet Home on Netflix
South Korean horror about people trapped in a block of flats while everyone outside turns into monsters.

First episode pretty good. On to the second now.

And for once, English dubbing at a competent level!

I'm also enjoying this, though I'm watching in korean rather than english dub. Its cheesy in places but some of the monsters have a definite Resident Evil vibe about them :)

I normally watch with subtitles but forgot to turn them on but realised the English dubbing was actually pretty good for once!
Definitely Resident Evil inspired I think.
Two episodes to go and I've really enjoyed it.

Check out Alice In Borderland too. First 10 minutes are a bit weird but soon gets into it's stride once "things" happen. Very shocked what they did at the end of episode 3 - was not expecting that!

You're literally the only person I know with anything good to say about Tariq, I thought he was a personality vacuum in Power and following the ladybird book of 'angry rebellious child' acting.

Does he at least have some character development in book 2? If it were based on any of the others, i'd have probably watched already.
He does have character development in this series, he's the main character in this and is probably off screen for no more than a few minutes in an hour long episode.

Have watched Bridgeton in the background over the past few days. Quite enjoyed it. There’s an astonishing amount of sex in it later on. The female lead is stunning but the male lead, my god. He is earth shatteringly handsome!

Just started this, this morning and about to watch episode 6. Have to agree the main female lead is beautiful and the duke is rather dishy. I think it's his voice as well. Especially when he was explaining something to Daphne
(Anthony isn't bad looking either :D)

Am enjoying it so far and no doubt will probably finish it by this evening :)

The entire second half of Vikings season 6 is out, just watched the first episode and enjoyed that. I'm a bit surprised there isn't a dedicated thread for it.

There is in the US sub section as it used to air way ahead than the UK. :)

Re watching Banshee on Bluray I forgot just how batxxxx crazy this show is, brilliant

I'd love to have the time to rewatch this, so over the top and relished in it's own absurdity.

Just finished Onyx Equinox, not sure whether to mention it here or in the anime thread, as it is a cartoon, but is a western one, it had a bit of an avatar vibe. I really liked all the Aztec and Mayan stuff and whatnot, the gods all had cool designs and were real interesting. But on the other hand as they were kids then some of the main little team were pretty annoying, and especially the principle guy, he was just so whiny it got on my nerves...
also the really cliche little speech thing at the end was just such a tired trope and whatnot it felt very poor
.

The Grudge, Netflix.

Its good but shows scenes which would have been banned or caused a massive stir years back. How times have changed!

Crikey. I didn't expect it to be quite so gruesome in parts, a decent ghost story but has its moments of disturbing horror. 30 minute episodes is something not often seen for Horror. Short but punchy.

Oh, good call, thanks!

I finished S1 of Raised by Wolves the other day...which I really enjoyed, right up my alley. Went on a bit of a wild tangent in the last episode mind.

Other half wanted to watch Black Narcissus....I was extremely glad we both burst out laughing at the same time at how hilariously bad it is...almost but not quite bad enough to be worth watching for the comedy factor.

Making my way through the Roman Empire docudrama series on Netflix. Pretty good if you like that sort of thing.

3 series each focusing on a different emperor, Commodus, Caligula and Caesar. Well, 2 emperors and a dictator then.
