EVGA Jacob Looking into OCUK Stock Issues

Some decent news for us EVGA customers last night, I've been trying to get ahold of EVGA Jacob on Twitter for a little while now about OCUK not having any direct stock with them and last night he said he was 'Looking into' it. This might lead to nothing but after months of waiting I think any attention the the issue is positive.

@Gibbo @ScottiB you might want to keep an ear out in the unlikely event this leads to anything.

EVGA has always prioritised US buyers before even thinking about the rest of the world, which makes sense as they're a US company anyway. Until things normalise abit in the US, it will be awhile till UK sees anything.

They knew we existed before, they've just got their head in the sand.
Well not for the entire UK market, there are competitors that have had multiple shipments of EVGA Black 3080's for example and I'm assuming that's due to better relations with EVGA. Whilst it all looks bleak, I hope OCUK and EVGA talk and work something out - anything is better than what Exertis is currently offering I'd assume.

Dont hold your breath EVGA have not been kind to OCUK customers in the past reminds me again of the 9xx series release and there was no Covid etc then !

My advice - if you want an EVGA card buy it from a competitor.

ASUS haven't been much better, I bailed out after two months and got a founders card at the first opportunity.

At position 17 in queue I don't think it's worth cancelling and trying a competitor. I've run stock checkers for a while now and it just doesn't pop whilst I'm awake.

Read up on Stockholm syndrome. :p

I'd explore other options, then cancel OcUK once you've got a confirmed order. I had three irons in the fire via the stock checkers and nearly ended up with two shipping the same day, whilst still nine hundredth and something in the ASUS TUF queue.

God only knows why people are still queues for EVGA cards from OCUK...you've got more chance of platting snot than getting your card, it's 2021 folks, when did you all order? think about it...

Go somewhere else!

:D

Surely the prices are inflated due to short supply? In a few months when stock levels return to normal they`ll probably be £100 cheaper. That`s when I`m buying.

lol, the prices are inflated for any reason they can conjure up. If it's not supply it's exchange rate, if it's not exchange rate its shipping costs, if it's not shipping costs its the price of scones in London. Bottom line is there is ALWAYS some reason why prices get ratcheted up, yet few if any as to why the prices are at msrp (because they rarely ever are).

Hey at least people in the UK get FE cards.
No retailer that gets FE cards will ship to Ireland at the moment.

I also hope the official European EVGA store(is that a competitor?) will get thier first shipment of cards soon!

Well nothings happened as of yet, wish @Gibbo or @ScottiB would give a heads up saying whether or not they've had any contact yet.

You made this post on Dec 31st and it’s weekend so I’m baffled as to why you’d think we might hear from EVGA as neither ourselves are working and I suspect most of EVGA head office are also on vacation too.

If EVGA wish to deal directly with us we would welcome it, we used to be a direct account in the U.K. in the past and ordered thousands of graphics cards from them, they then had a change of staffing in U.K. and decided to move most U.K. accounts to U.K. distribution and it was at this point where it all went down hill for OcUK and some other accounts.

EVGA have been sending some small amounts of stock to U.K. distribution now which some has filtered through to OCUK.

If EVGA wish to reopen our direct account I’ll happily start sending them purchase orders again, we are willing to work direct with them again as it was never our decision to stop dealing with them, but their own.

So we are willing but it’s really upto EVGA in the end. :)

Happy new year 2021 and if we hear anything from them we shall post but that won’t be until next week at earliest when people return from vacation.
