Having quite a lot of issues with my Sapphire 6800 it seems the card is unstable as im getting crashes in most games i have done reinstalls of drivers completely wiped it several times and gone from scratch Most games i play work for a short period of time then black screen previous card has no issues what so ever had some weird crashes where the screen goes funny with different pixelation. but restart and it works for again a tiny bit loads into a game lets me play then boots me into black screen and crashes this is stupid i cant play any games longer than 5 minutes

Did you totally unistall previous gpu drivers, ddu is a good software for this . You could aslo try previous drivers for the gpu.

Psu are you using 2 seperate cables to the gpu or daisy changed.

Gpu temps ok ?

used DDu wiped it clean 2 seperate cables previous card was 1080ti so no issues on that power draw the card seems faulty or amd drivers are well rubbish

Last time I had trouble like that playing a game black screen was lack of power going to a single PCI-E power cable or low-quality gauge wire

I had the same with my 6800 at first, kept crashing to desktop under load. Wasn’t getting too hot, stayed mid 60’s.

I did a reinstall of windows and it’s so far been absolutely rock solid. Must have been some sort of odd software issue that I couldn’t resolve.

I had a similar problem with a 5700 non XT I tried all of the things mentioned above. The only thing that worked for me l, was updating the card to the latest firmware, after that I’ve not had a problem.

If the drivers were the problem we would all be having issues. Not had a single issue with my Powercolor 6800MBA. Latest bios on motherboard, ram ok, psu, monitor, cables, windows etc there is a lot than can cause issues, the Adrenalin 20.12.1 DCH/Win 10 64 have been rock solid for me.
Oh and maybe I should say I haven't messed about with the graphics card at all and no other overclocks, all stock and no issues.

Nothing wrong with amd drivers.
Its either a psu issue as your psu is unable to handle the power draw ampere wise.
or stability with hardware like ram when pushed with power draw.
the 1080ti dont draw near the same power spikes.

The loggbook should help indicate what cause the issue.
Todays hardware spikes due to it responds to load dynamically and that pushing hardware differently that can cause issues.

Try the card in a different machine.
ensure latest bios for mboard.
if OC, reset back to default.
Reinstall windows.

i just want to mirror this, i DDU'd and havent had a single issue with the 6800, it performs perfectly.

If in doubt, blame the drivers because AMD have always had driver issues.

Ive had AMD cards for the last 10years and had 1 driver issue whereby google chrome would stutter.

I would try another PSU to rule out it's not on its way out:)
Black screen once under certain load Is a hardware issue
If it only doing this in-game at some point then its some sort of power trouble

I have a 6800, all ok with AMD Drivers/software suit ver 20.11.2 & if the drivers need updating they automatically updated
No third party app needed
