Hm OK. What is my best bet to get as a replacement? I have a superflower 750W leadexYeah any card with the new 12 pin comes with an adapter, though its short and very stiff looking.

Make sure you get a dual 8 pin to 12 pin just in case you go with a 3080 FE in future.
yeah, having watched in-depth reviews they don't have the best cooler out there, so it's a little noisier at the same temps as some AIB cards. But it's pretty good overall and I much prefer the design to the plasticky AIB stuff.
A quick undervolt/overclock got my 3070FE silent and still improved.performance.
Another advantage is the size as well, they're quite compact compared to the AIB cards.
So given the time now, does this mean we are pretty much guaranteed not to see any stock of 3080 fe between now and tomorrow morning? Or could these be automated and end up popping up at like 3am in the morning?
Why is there so many 3060 3070 cards vs 3080?
3060's and 3070's are the main sellers hence more resources are put into producing them.

Aren’t they also manufactured from the chips that fail the 3090 & 3080 binning process and then cut down?
Might be completely wrong of course!
No the 70 and 60ti are a different die to the 90 and 80. The 80 is effectively a failed 90 and the 60ti is effectively a failed 70.
They may have good but cut down chips in the lower tier cards as demand allows but I doubt that at the moment given they are selling every card they make.
The smaller the chip design the easier it is to make, hence why AMD use a ciplet design of multiple dies on one substrate to make up the CPU. It’s more cost effective than intels monolithic approach to try and get the whole CPU from one die.
