*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Thanks. Your getting closer and your day will be here pretty soon if drops keep continuing as they have recently.
let's hope so! you must be relieved it's over, I do wonder though if all the parties at fault have actually learned anything ie Nvidia, Asus, I think OcUK probably have! but I have a feeling it could probably all happen again, anyway have fun, cheers.

How come overclockers have upgraded other cards for people that have Been waiting along time but not 3080 ventus.
If I remember correctly I saw that the other day they where upgrading some 3070 cards like an msi to asus or something but I know for a fact no matter what card they ordered they haven’t been waiting as long as us 3080 ventus orders but some how they get an upgrade.
They where even considering upgrading some 3080 gigabyte trio cards to strix 3080 but never even considered the ventus.
I would be totally willing to pay more to be upgraded to another card just so I can get on this month

P.s. sorry for my rant I’m just so furious that I haven’t got my card or even an update on the ventus. I have been sitting in the dark for 3 months

I have a prediction.
The corona virus will be over before I get an update on the 3080 ventus and I’m not talking about being shipped or delivered I just mean a single update about the 3080 ventus

@Gibbo @ScottiB still no response to my question about the 3080 ventus.. can you please give us some information regarding when you think you might get some. I appreciate you have stepped up customer communications but 4 month's with few updates regarding the card in question is getting abit of a joke.

ScottiB posted about the Ventus only yesterday...

The Ventus aren't dead, we are still getting them in small numbers but as I said earlier in this enormous thread, the Ventus card is MSI's system integration model. A couple of generations ago it was SI exclusive and much of the stock that we've received has been designated for our SI business (even that isn't a lot). However, because MSI aren't a focus brand for my SI business I'm able to give some stock to Gibbo at times. I was given a whopping 20pcs last month of which I was able to give 7 to those in the retail queue.

Food For thought
There are major SI's, bigger than OcUK who DO focus on MSI, in fact MSI is the core of their business and MSI rely on that business for a lot of their volume every year. So, who do you think MSI are most likely to give their Ventus cards to?

This is not a criticism of MSI, we rely on similar relationships with other brands, it's just business.

In fact, if you take it back as far as manufacturing. Say MSI are given 1000 GPU and 200 are allocated by Nvidia for the SI sector, most, if not all of which will be turned into Ventus cards. That leaves 800 for retail. If they put them on Ventus PCB they would probably make less money than if they put them on Trio PCB, so, when it comes down to splitting the retail allocation, which way do you think they might lean? This is purely hypothetical. We're not privy to this information but it's worth thinking about as it would explain a lot.

"Dear Customer,
Thank you for your webnote. Unfortunately, the promo event for Watch Dogs: Legion has ended so I have set up a new order for a code for Call of Duty: Cold War to be sent to you via email.
Regard"

I got my code today, for those that received the card already or soon before January 11, send webnote to OCUK and claim COD while stock last.
I’ll receive my Ventus 2x 3070 in the coming week hopefully, will that promo still be on?
I think your card need to ship to you first, than you can send a webnote to OCUK to claim it before January 11.

The promotion doesn't apply to the 3070 unfortunately, but otherwise yes, anyone with a 3080/90 that has shipped and didn't receive a code could ask.

Yeah, I am grateful OCUK honour the promotion, even when COD promotion is not out at the time when I ordered my RTX 3080.

I know he posed about it but there is nothing new and he didn’t give any updates on shipping or delays or anything.
All he said was there is probably a small amount of 3080 ventus that are for retail which to me means nothing, it is not telling me anything about when some cards may be shipped or how many cards are available.

I know these guys are trying hard but it is not fair that I am sitting blind for two months not knowing anything or when possibly any 3080 ventus will arrive.

Information is not withheld so if nothing is posted it is because nothing has being communicated to ourselves.

As of now MSI nor its distributors have communicated any updates on Ventus.

The Gigabyte update we were waiting on has being communicated now and it’s not that exciting but it shall be posted on sticky later.

3080’s cannot be upgraded because there are no 3080s to upgrade too, whereas we have lots of 3070s in stock and that stock is being used to upgrade customers.

No 3080s will be getting upgraded for a very long time or if ever as the OC cards still have thousands of back orders against them.

When do queue positions get emailed out? I'm curious where I'm at in the overall standing since my order didn't go in till Xmas eve, and my rig has a *Build Stock* Asus RTX 3080 TUF graphics card in its components.

End of week / weekends I believe and it was not done last weekend as no one was in the offices to do so due to new year.

Does anyone know if I should change my delivery address to a UK one if I want to stand a chance of my order being shipped sooner rather than later? Seeing as launch day orders weren't cancelled I thought the queue position would be honored as well, maybe that isn't entirely the case.
