Build suggestions please for a small size 1440p build.

Thanks to the late chrismas fairies I should now have the budget to build a complete new machine, which make my brother happy as he gets the old one (wether i should get money out of him is another matter).

Im looking to get a small itx system that will run games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Cities Skylines, Civ 6 at full settings at 1440p with a good FPS.

I was looking at the Ryzen 5800X and some flavour of 3070 but other than that i keep hitting walls as im not sure whats best to get or which mobos are useful etc.

Other needs, id like something fast for booting of, so was thinking some kind of 500gb m2 drive then a 1tb ssd for games and a 4gb HDD for bulk storage. I doubt id be overclocking but you never know.

Budget would be around £2000 But i could potentialy go to £3000 if needed.

I really like the Lian-Li TU150 itx case, something of about that size if not that would be great.

The increase in base cost would mean id be on my 27" 1080p monitor for a bit longer, But if a build with a recomended 1440p monitor could be suggested for sub £3000 that would be excelent.

Just add 3070 or 3080 put 2 x m2 as you have enough slots and a motherboard, with bios q flash to update the bios for the cpu. Cpu cooler very capable and not to big and need to add a couple of 120m case fans.

32 inch monitor but yhere os a 27 if ypu prefer.

Could you suggest an AIO for the cpu?

You'd be basically be limited to a 120mm AIO on the rear/exhaust of the case and performance on an air cooler would probably be as good if not better in that case.

You wouldn't want to install a bigger 240/280 rad in the bottom of that Lian Li case as installing radiators with the prongs facing up will cause bubbles to enter the pump which in the short term won't do much but could cause issue later on - best case scenario it'll make noise with the bubbles entering the pump. Plus you have the factor of dumping all the hot air into the case - straight onto your GPU as you'd have the intake of cool air coming in from the bottom exhausting into the case.

Not a fan of 120mm aio coolers they tend t8p be noisy with high fan speeds to achieve a level of cooling. Take a look at the hArctic freezer 2 or corsair h seies.

OK thats fair enough, its just the cooler recomended wasnt in stock here. Ill shop around. You mentioned id have to flash the bios, do the x570s not have support for the new cpus straight away, or is it something else?

They dont support the bios straight out of the box thats why you need a bios flashback which can update without the need for a cpu.
