Won’t have to upgrade for ages, seeing as both a 1080ti and 2080ti are both still great GPU’s you could keep the 3090 until the 4000 launch and arguably keep it until the 5000 launch with no problems at all. Then get the next 5090 or whatever is availableGot totally fed up waiting for my pre-order and saw 3090FE somewhere else for RRP so ordered that today and cancelled my 3080 xtreme order. Less than an hour after cancelling 3080 here I had shipment notification. Like waiting for a bus....
Now I really don’t mind paying the extra £500 for the 3090 but I guess the 3090 should go back for refund? Mainly need for VR as 1080Ti fine for 2D @ 1440p. So any reason I should keep the 3090 instead?

That's disappointing, not much different from the past few months though.Trinity they are still producing, but as of right now there is no supply of 3080 GPUs for them to make any 3080's at present with.
All board partners are saying next two weeks will be very dry for 3080 shipments to them.
Flight sim loves to cap out vram, I’m worried my 8gb might not hold upQuestion. Does supersampling which is very common to do in VR use more VRAM and likely to use more than 10GB on Quest 2 or Reverb G2 type resolutions. Obviously the game itself matters and size of textures etc. I mean hoping to run games like PC2 and Dirt 2.0 at 1.5+ SS, or maybe Flight Sim 2020
All I know is that Msi seems to have been prioritising 3070 shipments, now those seem to be nearly complete, 3080 shipments should start rolling in in the next week or twoAny information on the MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ventus 3X OC ?? My queue position won't changed since December..

Just to understand the updates. I see that 3080 backlogs are being cleared? Does this mean that there is a possibility of some of these cards appearing on sale again soon?
