Do any of you compost, any of the different types..Vermicomposting, Bokashi, Hot or cold?

I have 3 big hot compost bins, 2 3 tiered (Can o' worms) vermicompost bins and because I make a lot of yoghurt I am thinking of giving Bokashi a go with the leftover whey.

its one of those jobs on the allotment that I love tending too.

just wondered if others love it too?

Yea but I'm clearly not into it as you lol.

I got a big plastic bin thing that doesn't have a bottom and just chuck everything in there.

I very occasionally take a **** in it. It's full of worms but I never put them there they just turned up.

I hope the auto-censor has made a mistake here...

We had three of the large black bins but didn't really get very far. I think we would get one of the large rotating bins that allow easy rotation of the contents, otherwise we would just have a large pallet built triple set of bins.

Had a reasonable amount of success with 2 black bins at the back of the garden. The newer of the two still has some time to go, but the older bin is 3/4 full of nice looking compost and full of earthworms. I think it’s a bit dry at the moment.

I found that chucking the old growbag compost in really accelerated the process. Hopefully I can start using some of the home made compost this year.

It’s quite satisfying for kitchen food waste (no meat or dairy!) to compost rather than landfill.

We have a veg patch in the garden and two compost bins. It is quite interesting with the shed load of waste that gets put in and how quickly it compacts down and rots. Even if you're not in to gardening or veg growing but have a garden it's worth having. Our council now charges for green waste collection but not had to use it in the past couple of years.

Got three compost heaps they're basically just bunkers don't do anything special other than turn the heaps once a year lol. Two heaps are for collecting the current years material and the third is for the previous years worth which is covered and left for a year.

Speaking of which I'll be starting opening up the previous year's bunker and spreading this weekend. Once its emptied in a few weeks time the other bins will be turned out filling it up then it'll be covered over and left until next year. And so the cycle continues!
