Luckily I managed to get it at MRP and not the new £749.99 price tag!

One thing that does grind on me - when I ordered it, it was 'in stock' ready to ship.
 
It is sad to say that competitors ques (that have been very transparent in number terms) have come down faster. Todays updates on here have undone much of the good work of the last few weeks by reverting to stupid "good" "ok" etc quantities.

Really thought we had passed that stupidity!

What do you expect him to do? Get down to the fab make you a chip, walk it to Zotac's HQ, fly in some other pieces, and make you a card personally? He has no control over how many cards get sent to OcUK. Some of us have been waiting just as long, day 1, hour 1-2 - it is what it is, unless you want to go take your lottery with another site. At least we get to keep our pre-order price whilst everyone else is jacking up prices.

I can - there were so many early signs this was going to happen. Like I said about 4 months ago (check my early posts), walk away from it and get interested in something else for a bit. Now I'm going to add to that - stop acting like 4 year olds playing into the hands of this industry, wake up, smell the coffee and walk away for a bit.
 
hey, sorry to bother you guys, im number 126 in queue on the Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC (last i was told) and i ordered the day of launch and was about number 400, i seen there is supposed to be stock from asus soon, and i also seen there was a post about 3090 asus cards coming in, are there no 3080s on the transport or is that a different shipment? sad to see so many other cards getting upgraded, and back orders filled whereas im still sitting in the 100's and not gonna get an upgrade at all. i mean unless im getting upgraded to a 3090, but i highly doubt that's the case. i don't seehow it was really fair to upgrade some cards as an apology but not all, so because i had more money to spend at the time than lots of other people im at a disadvantage basically. im just here wondering if i will maybe get an upgrade or news about my card soon as i see lots of 3070s and some 3080's are getting upgraded for free.

The 3080's got upgraded because Gibbo was told 70 non-oc TUF's we're coming so he relayed that info. It turned out to be OC versions of the card, hence the upgrade to keep the people happy. The rest of us here are in the same boat as you are I'm afraid. 3070's are getting upgraded because the backorders of the OC versions of the cards are cleared and they're not getting shipments for the regular cards. As for why they didn't upgrade all of them, well that's another issue because there's still plenty of backorders for the OC cards too.
 
So, is there any indication when cards will be available to pre-order again, is it going to be card by card when the backlogs clear?

Additionally it says UK and Ireland only - does that include Jersey? :)

Pretty sure that the order pages won't open up until OCUK fulfil their back orders and get good inventory for the cards. They've held back certain product launches due to wanting proper inventory considering how bad things got with the 3080 launch.
 
I'm kinda hoping that when oc clear some of other brands of 3080 they will offer to others. I only ordered the Zotac Trinity OC because it was the only one I could order. Even if its a cheaper card I'd happily take a credit note instead of refund.
I wanted the Tuff Gaming card but wasn't available at the time.
