*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Well went down a whole 1 place this week! Asus tuf 3080 OC ordered 17oct 17:57pm now 215  the saga continues, thought it might have got better by now but sorely disappointed but understand its nvidia that needs a good boot up the jacksy! terrible company. they make good gfx cards but unfortunately don't know how to treat their customers and also they don't understand numbers!! to get this so catastrophically wrong requires a special group of idiots to work together!! at the right time and moment!

Yep - same here. 274 down to 270 - Gigabyte Eagle 3080. By the time I get this card the new cards will be out. Nvidia totally dropped the ball on this and weren't ready for the demand. I have zero optimism at the moment. Even if OCs get 10 a week, that's another 25 weeks at least to wait. Crazy.

A not-very-helpful graph I've been adding to each week...

just crazy isn't it ! I'm a patient person but the incompetence is epic, they released cards that were more powerful than 2080ti's and half the price! what sort of demand did they think they were going to have? the electronics industry needs to learn a big lesson about supply and demand and this should never happen again in this day and age! - I do like a rant but all done now:)

Yeah, its incredibly badly planned, and its only gotten worse. Many of the cards should have had their release dates postponed (ie 3070 80 90 should have been released and cleared) additionally, stuff like 1 per customer or just general anti-bot measures should have actually been taken. The fact that they're still releasing new 3000 series cards (3080 ti) amazes me. The only hope is production picks up, OcUK's done a decent job being transparent. Hopefully as certain Queue's are cleared more cards (taking into account the rate of the cards production/value etc) are upgraded and sent out. - Rant over

Wait a minute!!!
So the 3080 Ventus guys are NOT being upgraded to SUPRIM because they "clearly wanted a budget card" Yet yesterday you have upgraded a bunch of 3090 Ventus orders to SUPRIM!?

Yet again the 3080 Ventus queue hasnt moved at all and the only movement for several months appears to have been cancellations and yet the 3090 Ventus gets upgraded to SUPRIM but screw the 3080 buyers!? This is unbelievable
Its a weird situation, surely as Trio X preorders get upgraded to Suprim, Ventus preorders get Trios as stock becomes available?
OCUK have been very fair I think, as they were under no obligation to do this.
Some dude has got a pre-ordered Suprim X 3080 on a certain auction site at £1500.00 :o

hey all, just like most of you ive been waiting since launch day for my 3080 Asus ROG strix OC.... I'm in queue position 62 and I was wondering does anyone have any update or know/heard of anything on when OCUK can expect these to come in again?

There is no obligation at all and up to today I was accepting that the GAMING ones got the SUPRIM rather than the ventus but we now have a situation where the 3070 AND the 3090 are being upgraded but the 3080 are not, thats simply unfair and was inevitably going to attract the ire of 3080 ventus customers who paid their money just like everyone else. There have been multiple Ventus customers that have offered to pay the difference to be moved to SUPRIM as well but they were dismissed as "budget focused"

I am very patient and understanding but this is a slap in the face tbh.

Hi everyone. I ordered my asus 3090 strix oc back in October. Last Friday recieved recieved update saying was position 250 in the queue. On the 13th of January gibbo said would be receiving over 50 cards to help clear back orders and yet as of update today have moved to position 219. Just wondering what is happening as that Is clearly not over 50 cards. Thanks

I ordered my 3080 Ventus around middle of September 2020. I'm upset too that it's taking this long, currently 370-something in the queue, but it's sods law and something we have to deal with.

I'm happy to pay the difference too, but then that wouldn't be fair on other customers.

Nothing 'budget' about £650.... its over 50% more than I have ever paid for a gpu, and I have bought a lot of gpu's

It seems obvious to me that there aren't any back orders for 3090 trio's, and they don't have any stock, otherwise the ventus buyers would have got trio's. The difference with the 3080 is that the trio queue is massive, with many of them still day1 orders. So the suprim 3080's went to the trio queue, because there is a trio queue.
