Good afternoon all,

I wondered those who own either an RTX 3080 or RTX 3090 could give their FPS results (including their resolution and specs) whilst playing Microsoft Flight Simulator as I am still torn between wether paying the extra for the RTX 3090 over the RTX 3080 is worth it when it comes to playing Microsoft Flight Simulator?
 
I have a 3080 FE and running 4k with high/ultra settings I'm getting 30-45FPS.

16GB DDR4 3466Mhz
Corsair MP600 1TB
Intel 7820X overclocked 4.5Ghz

Really playable and a stunning visual experience. I doubt the 3090 would push it up too much maybe 35-50fps
 
There are benches out there...3090 has a 10-15% advantage, as in most things.

'Worth it' will depend on your circumstances, more than anything else.
 
I've not seen my fps go below 38 fps and goes up to around 50-55 fps. Can go above 60 fps but that's rare.

4k ultra settings.

Nvidia 3090
Intel 10850k @5ghz
32gb 3866mhz c17 memory.
 
Generally 40-45 at ultra preset/4K. Note at these settings it uses more than 16GB of RAM if available, and would likely use more than 3080's 10GB of VRAM.... what's max usage 3090 users have seen?
Still plays great though and looks superb :)

Sorry, just wanted to confirm. You have an RTX 3080 and have those presets, do you see the 10GB VRAM being breached on your rig then?

Sorry, thought you could see sig. Yes, 3080 hits 10GB according to gpu-z but not noticed any stuttering. Also seen 22GB of RAM used. Tested this flying over Manhattan for 20 mins for info.

ive seen it use upto 19gb of ram and 14gb vram with a 3090 but this is showing through afterburner gpuz. Turning on dev mode shows its using nowhere near that amount of vram.. perhaps its just caching.

with everything maxed, my 3090 runs between 45 and 50fps in New York city
 
4k and most settings on ultra 60-90fps low level over cities etc

256gb ram
SAmsung 980 pro Pcie gen 4 ssd (7000mb/s)
600 Fibre broadband
