*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Cyberpunk 2077 was a virtual world in Cyberspace. The city was full of gamers. Cyberpunk 2077 was a gamers’ paradise truly. The gamers were in houses, inns, shops, schools and in every street. It was a menace and a solution had to be found fast.

The vendor of graphics cards had often held meetings with the forum users to discuss this problem. At the beginning they had thought that dropping the realism settings would increase the refresh rate. However, the number of gamers wanting RTX 3080 cards became a problem for them. It was difficult to know what to do as it was really very difficult to find large numbers of suitable RTX Graphics Cards without paying scalpers. They were in a real dilemma.

One day, a stranger came to the town of Cyberpunk 2077. He carried an Alienware Laptop along with him. He had a stern look on his face and had walked straight to the vendor of graphics cards building. He faced the vendor of graphics cards and said, "It is well known everywhere that Cyberpunk 2077 has a problem with gamers, especially on older generation consoles. Instead of actually shipping Graphics Cards, I will get rid of all the gamers. What would my reward be?" For a moment the vendor of graphics cards was stunned. It was difficult for him to believe that a man who was coming from somewhere suddenly was claiming to drive away all the gamers from the website and clear the order backlog.

"Ten Thousand Bitcoins from our exchange if you can do as you promise," said the vendor of graphics cards. The stranger nodded his head and said, "In a day's time Cyberpunk 2077 will have no gamers."

The stranger walked out in the street, pulled out his laptop and fired up Spotify. An eerie sound floated in the air. People of Cyberpunk 2077 could hear the beautiful playlist from every corner of Cyberpunk 2077 and were paralyzed hearing this enchanting tone.

All of a sudden, there was a 'whirring' noise. Thousands of gamers came all the way from various directions. They followed the eerie sound that came from the laptop. It seemed that the gamers were mesmerized with the delightful tone of the laptop. The stranger headed towards the sea, with all the gamers of Cyberpunk 2077 behind him. It was an extraordinary sight for the folks of Cyberpunk 2077.

The stranger was continuously playing the laptop and walked right into the sea. The gamers followed him and all of them were caught by the waves which dragged them into the sea. All the gamers of Cyberpunk 2077 drowned. The strange piper had got rid of all the gamers and kept his promise.

The stranger approached the vendor of graphics cards for his reward. The vendor of graphics cards and the town's people rejoiced watching this happen. But the vendor of graphics cards had changed his mind. When the stranger went to him, he said, "It is a wonderful task you have accomplished to clear the order backlog but isn't ten thousand Bitcoins a hefty reward for a day's work? I will pay you five hundred Bitcoins, because the supply situation on some RTX 3080 cards has actually improved a bit and the value of Bitcoins has gone up for no apparent reason." The stranger looked at the vendor of graphics cards and then walked out.

In the street he pulled out his laptop again and started playing it. This time the sound that came from the laptop was different but was eerie as well. All the forum users started to follow the stranger.

The stranger walked out of town and disappeared into the mountains. Forum users followed him. The parents of the forum users wept, "Where had the stranger taken their forum users," they went to the vendor of graphics cards and complained about it. The vendor of graphics cards was helpless. He knew that he had been dishonest with the stranger.

The stranger returned to Cyberpunk 2077 but forum users didn’t accompany him. The vendor of graphics cards rushed to him, begging for forgiveness. He pleaded to the stranger to get the forum users back. Without uttering a single word, the stranger turned and walked away. He returned after a few hours, this time with all the forum users.

The stranger was rewarded with his ten thousand Bitcoins.
The vendor of graphics cards had learnt his lesson.

Wow, just realised its been over 4 months.
Remember when Nvidia were saying that they would be ramping up supply? lol
It is now reasonable to assume it will be at least a 6 month wait for most people.

Is there any update on that? DPD were supposed to be resuming deliveries to Ireland on Wednesday Jan 13th, but I've heard nothing since the email to tell me my order is on hold. I was number 50 something, will I have moved up in the queue when they decide to unhold my order or am I going to find that people have jumped me in the queue and I have the pleasure of paying Customs and VAT on my order (which has been confirmed to me by DPD)

I would love clarification on that if possible from someone at OCUK.

The full order was paid prior to Brexit so I’m not sure on if that makes a difference.

Would love if @Gibbo or someone at OCUK to chime in and confirm if Irish orders will be charged at their doorstep.

Or if anyone here from Ireland got their card very recently can attest to the Import charges?

My 3080 Inno3D IChill came yesterday, currently running like a dream and I hope it stays that way! I really hope you all get your cards soon, I ordered in September so I know your pain and hopefully this is a sign that stock is finally starting to move! Hold tight!

Card arrived yesterday and after some initial woes (https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/pcie-v4-and-riser-cables.18855880/ <- this thread came in very handy - tl;dr I had to force my motherboard to use PCIe gen3 because of my riser cable) - I have a card that works. I'd post a picture but I haven't sorted the cabling out yet and I don't want y'all judging me for my terrible cable management :D

A massive thank you to everyone at OcUK - I didn't necessarily agree with some of the initial decisions made but we have to remember that ultimately there are people behind these avatars. A call was made and it didn't work out, anyone who thinks they'll never make a mistake in life is wrong - but the important thing is that steps are being taken to acknowledge and rectify things.

I hope that Nvidia and AiBs are able to start ramping up production soon and everyone is able to get their card.

When did yours ship? I got upgraded as I was 18 in the queue before the upgrade but still no shipping email or anything

I ordered in September, and the card shipped at about 3PM on the 16th of January. Got €177.50 of import charges from DHL. I'm not happy.

Jesus christ, thats some ******** right there, already paying maybe nearly 900 euro for a card and then another nearly 200 on top of that.

Sorry, I dozzed off for around 700 pages.. I just got queue update for my TUF 3080 and I'm 216 so still some way to go, but I wanted to ask, as I'm in London, will there be any changes to the price, VAT etc? Any extra charges I should know about?

So the fact now that someone has gotten their card shipped since the whole DPD stopping deliverys to Ireland, does that mean now that we will be removed from hold on our queue??
