Yeah not heard anything bad about the Gilcoru dogs. To be honest, we want a family dog that jumps on the sofa, and wants to play fight etc but I am cautious to make sure he knows where the lines are and that when we say down, he goes.
The war stories are crazy really. Big powerful dogs though, likely rugged as hell before the days of people worrying about their hips. I had not heard of people correcting the hips before they get bad, that's reassuring to know though.
I have no expectations of him maturing any time soon, we relish the thought of him being a little boisterous and characterful. Within reason!
The inlaws have a beach hut near Cleethorpes where we expect to be spending large amounts of time on the seafront, this is part of the concern for his hips whilst young, we can't do much with covid around except stroll around, but we're told he can't do that for more than a few minutes at a time.
