Just wierd thing that very occasionally happens to me.

Run my monitor via DP 1.4 cable. Soemtimes I switch the "input" of my screen over to work during the day as I use the same monitor via my work laptop which is HDMI (I think).

Anyway, sometimes when I switch display to my worklap, then I switch back to my main PC, the screen is blank and that is because my PC is retarting itself, even though I didnt touch anything on the PC at all.

I am wondering if the monitor sends a signal back to the PC to turn off, as in, you switch the screen off, so it figures you want to turn everything off?

Otherwise I am really, really stumped as to why this happens.......

Sounds more like to me that the PC just went to sleep because you're not using it, unless of course you have this feature disabled.

Disabled.......

Really weird, actually only other thing I should mention is when I have my bluetooth headphones in (it may do in on speakers not sure as volume is gernally off) but sometimes when I switch the inputs over I get that sound in windows which I think it the connect/disconnect hardware notification sound (obv cannot see anything as the screen is either blank/switched to work laptop). I am wondering if it "knows" there is no monitor connected, then shuts down the PC.

I mean the PC is otherwise stable, build mid december, only ever crashed once in PUBG, never crashed/bluescreens ever otherwise, and only does this when switching monitor inputs around (and then only occasionally when doing that on top).

But its bugging me as tehre must be a reason it does this, I just cannot think of it.
