*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

The UK government???

Yeah, can't you feel it? It could take some time, but with Irish nationalism pretty much dead, and the church's hold broken, lots of the old barriers to unification have been removed. If you then add to that financial carrots/sticks, then that would likely tip a border poll towards unification.

I'm not saying I support it or not. Just that I can see it coming.

ARGH! POLITICS! Begone Foul Demon!!

Well with ASUS allegedly finding 8 Non-OC Strix I'm a wash of both excitement and nerves - I'm number 8 in the queue, dear god I hope all 8 arrive as expected.

Would you believe it, a month on and they've not arrived, deemed lost or stolen, either that or they never existed. How bloody typical of this whole RTX3000 series launch.

Sorry, I hate crushing dreams but there must have been some crossed wires somewhere along the line, not sure where. They've apparently turned up but they are OC cards. They haven't been booked in yet but the EAN code was flagged when they tried to book them in against the non-OC PO.

When this happened with the TUF's @Gibbo very kindly sorted out the TUF non-OC guys - any chance of a repeat performance?

They have shipped 513 tuf ocs vs 131 strix ocs

Yep, but they've also got twice as many TUF orders and they still did the upgrade.

Ultimately its in Gibbo/OCUK's hands now as to how to proceed, but I feel they have set a precedent with the TUF upgrade, such that I'll be royally ****** if after a month waiting for news on a card I've been told is coming only for it not to have been at all.

Gibbo even stated these 8 were OC's to start, before the distributor has made a point of saying Oops, we ****** up we are sending you non-OC's.

Question, just ordered the 6800xt through the releases Gibbo has been doing today, Should I wait until I have the card in hand before I cancel my asus 3080 tuf OC ?
Yes

HOWEVER, I'm going to politely ask that you don't submit a cancellation request until you are 100% sure that you want to cancel & if that's because you think you've managed to secure a card elsewhere, you wait until you have the card in your hand. We are wasting a lot of precious time with people requesting refunds through the cancellation form and them webnoting us because they've changed their minds or the card that they thought they'd secured was oversold.
