It's a DPD and brexit issue. As far as I know DPD are still refusing to bring some deliveries to Ireland from the UK. This means some retailers have stopped shipping to Ireland until the issue is resolved.(If it ever is)

Aye and DPD are the only postal service in the country. It's a lazy excuse. Royal mail haven't stopped existing, Parcelforce was in my avenue yesterday, and if a business is willing to make claims of delivery to the UK and Ireland then they better have the option available!

Calm down a bit there. The issue is not ocuk specific was my point.

I'm aware it's a DPD issue, but there are couriers out there still moving things to Northern Ireland. Overclockers is not a small business and they knew this was coming so I see little excuse for contingencies not being in place. Ok, the other delivery options might cost Overclockers a bit more, I don't know, but that is not my concern. The fact remains they advertise UK and Ireland delivery and in my eyes are obligated to get it here by whatever means necessary.

Dpd also delivered my 3070fe to Belfast about 2 weeks ago so not entirely sure why ocuk are taking this weird stance. The delivery options to "ni" have been pathetic for a long time, even a set of ram has to go via dpd when it's the kind of thing royal mail sd could take easily. Ocuk used to offer sd to ni then the option just vanished with no explanation.

Also its always 48 hour from ocuk when other places offer 24 for the same or less cost, and thats including dpd as well. Think ocuk need to get the finger out when it comes to their postage options as they're farcical compared to other stores.

DPD also delivered my 3070 Fe at the same time to Newry. They are uplifting from the company I work for to deliver to customers in England, Scotland and Wales.

It's not an excuse, for most people shipping there will end up costing more which I don't mind arranging but I don't want to be the one paying the extra through no fault of my own.

What are you selling?

Many sellers on eBay plaster their photos with Union flag and Royal Mail logo. Royal Mail charge the same price all over the UK. So to me for the seller to say no, not send to Northern Ireland despite their advert is an excuse.

I think what should be clear now is that a border in the Irish Sea is utterly unworkable on top of being illegal. But hey, this is what happens when you've got mentally subnormal people undermining your own negotiating position. Internal market bill is the only hope now.

Think the most logical was to just not leave the EU.....

No, the most logical was to maintain the constitutional integrity of the UK and the border with Ireland be damned! All that comes over it is illegal fuel and terrorists and maybe a bit of meat occasionally. But because of remoaners we now have an open border with a foreign country we don't need and obstacles to our biggest trade partner by a country mile, ie inside our own bloody country!

That's some take.

You won, get over it. Enjoy the new opportunities.
Get your GPU's elsewhere, the commonwealth etc.

You sound like a fan of the late Willie Frazer with that rhetoric :D

Oh I see I've tickled some remoaners. The opportunities don't exist without access to our own internal market you numpties! While the UK can benefit, Northern Ireland is being left with nothing but to trade with the economic powerhouse that is the RoI

These issues aren't because of Brexit, these issues are because of a shockingly poor deal caused by our own side undermining us.

Various things but I assume most sellers have an idea of how they like to send things and let's say you use the default service through eBay, they normally offer you several services (Hermes, UPS etc) but if it's going to say Shetlands then they remove most of them which might be a problem depending on the volume and/or value of the package. Parcelforce who I use a bit have different regions for the UK, very Northern Scotland etc costs more than say Wales but eBay treats the sale as if it's being shipped to the same place even though *most* couriers don't and it's an awkward conversation to ask someone to pay more for shipping after they've already paid.

Royal Mail is usually inconvenient for me, firstly because they don't collect but also because they're only good value on specific package sizes/insurance values, so a small package that's high value is great via special delivery but I can usually send medium sized stuff cheaper through UPS and they collect... Oh before I forget I also hate RM's claims process, vastly easier to get refunded by Hermes than them.

I'm not really who you're complaining about though, I don't care where it's going just that the costs are covered but I can see why some sellers might not be eager.

Hilarious that you're blaming remainers for a problem (one assumes that you voted out) that you brought upon yourself...

Did you really think the tories wouldn't shaft you when it came down to it?

This is what you voted for, suck it up.

I'm tickled, you're the one moaning.

As I said, you won, get over it.
