Every flagship now has like 6 cameras and a huge camera bump, they're like an inch thick and weigh so much they drag my pocket down. If I wanted a DSLR I would buy one, one camera lens is good enough, I take a picture with my old Pixel 3 or iPhone SE2 and they're always good.

Now I'm looking for a new flagship phone because I'm moving off IOS, but on Android now they all have these stupid bumps. At least the Nokia 9 had the decency to have it's 6 cameras fit inside the body.... shame the phone is ****.

The utility of multiple lenses, especially ultrawide, is definitely worth having, I just wish they'd make the bumps look better. At least make them central on the back of the phone so there's no wobble when you use them on a flat surface.

Seems like fitting a case will sort the issue. Got an s21 on order and that's what I'll be doing so I don't keep placing the phone down on the camera lenses.

The phone would need to be thicker to hold all the lenses so adding a case doesn't seem a big deal to me.

I'm upgrading from an S9 so can't really make a comment on the weight in your pocket. I've not kept track of phones have been getting heavier or not

I always have cases on my phones so non issue for me, as is build quality really as long as the phone holds together and still waterproof :D

It's not the bump that bothers me, it's the obsession with putting more and more sensors in a phone when all you need is a main, telephoto and wide angle. They should just keep those 3 and put better sensors in.

I'm all for many sensors as long as they serve a good purpose. 3x and 10x optical zoom makes sense.

Google has shown what you really need to focus on is image processing, there's only so far you can go with sensors of this size.

Why does everyone want loads of cameras? I just need one to take a picture....

Nobody wants loads of cameras, they want one good, versatile camera system. You may not have a use for it, but some of us would like versatility and picture quality in a phone camera. If you don't, then good for you, you can save lots of money :)

Regarding the pocket thing, this is my big issue with modern flagships. They're all huge. The clue is in the name "mobile" phone. Not so mobile if it doesn't fit in your pocket. You'd think with all this tech getting small (less bezels, in screen cameras etc) we'd get smaller phones again. But no, manufacturers think I'm going to watch TV shows and movies on my phone for some reason?

This. I don't get it either, but then I guess companies need something to sell their phones.

I just need one camera that's half decent and I'm happy. I have no interest in super mega pixel / ultra zoom tech. It's why i'm happy with using a SE 2020. It's more than good enough for me.
