*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I contacted DPD myself and they confirmed that they are delivering to Ireland right now and that I would have to pay both VAT and Customs duty before delivery regardless of when the order was placed. Still no word from OCUK about when my order will be taken off on-hold status though.

Last time a UK retailer gets a penny from me tbh, makes them look like a bunch of ****** clowns allowing this shambles to go ahead. It's not a strong look for their country.
i also ordered from ireland in september jesus im so ****** hearing this ... @Gibbo @ScottiB ,did we not already pay 21% vat or whatever to the eu as we bought our cards in september ? says on my invoice it was payed to irish registered tax number and if not the case now surely you are covering import duties with said money!! need a reply actually so annoyed reading this!

im position <5 in queue for an MSI ventus 3080 3x OC for 10 weeks now with no stock at all... help me out here. can i even pay for a suprim?
Unfortunately no bueno. OC UK aren't able to process additional funds for upgrading orders at present with the current website and the Suprims were provided as free upgrades for some 3080 Gaming X Trio orders due to the volume of orders and the relative cost to OC UK of the cards.

Tbh you are better waiting as even though there has been no recent movement, as soon as things pick up at least you're next in line for the next shipment.

This isn't a part of the business that Gibbo & ScottiB can comment on, they have already said that more than once.

You need to not take the DPD comment out of context though, it is correct in terms of an order placed with a company that was not registered for VAT in Ireland, but that got complicated by the Brexit deal and is taking them a while to work out.

Clearly the VAT will only get paid once, it just isn't clear if OCUK need to do a partial refund or if they can still settle the VAT for you and that I imagine is what is taking time to clear up...

575 in the TUF non OC queue which has seen very little movement over the last couple of weeks. Counting 0 for two weeks over CNY then a maximum of 15 per week after, I am facing a deliver date sometime in November 2021. Hopefully Asus can go back to and maintain 60 per week to take projected delivery back to Easter.

Finally managed to get the cash together for a RTX3080 so watching for availability at oc'uk

Thanks.

Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. OCUK are the only major UK retailer that let backorders get up to the thousands before finally shutting them off.

There will be no general availability from OCUK for months, long after other retailers start releasing stock to buy.

I am getting that feeling having read a few more posts :(

By the looks of things I will be looking at April.

Cheers.

@Gibbo @ScottiB
there apparently was a shipment sent out on the 14th from msi and scotti predicted that it would come on the 25th/today, so where is it gibbo?
what has happened to that shipment has it arrived or is it never going to come?

Not 'today' but sometime this week, possibly, not a prediction but a guess..

There are some, apparently, a whopping ten pcs

However, bearing in mind that 14th is a shipping estimate not an arrival estimate...and we have absolutely no firm indication of how long it will take for those cards to arrive in the UK, get heat treated (yup that's now a thing for stuff coming through the EU), pass through customs, reach the distributor, get processed by them and then shipped to us and processed here...don't expect them to arrive in the next few days and PLEASE don't keep chasing for a more accurate date. Our best guess at this time is the week starting 25th.

normally @Gibbo would say something like "possibly will be some msi cards arriving this week or next week" but why are there no updates.

extra:
i am now 9th place and this shipment supposedly has 10 3080 Ventus cards in it and i am getting a bit on edge waiting. i just need some info on what is going on with the 3080 Ventus shipment

Does it go without saying that any new pre-orders will be more expensive now?

Thx.

Yes obviously.

People have shown they'll pay +50% so why wouldn't retailers continue to charge it?

If you have a card that gets you by, just forget about upgrading IMO. I came close to paying over the odds to a reseller a few weeks back and I'm so glad I didn't. It's easy to get dragged into the PC upgrade mentality but truth be told hardware has advanced so much over the last few years that even a 1070 is more than enough for most people I'd say. I'm still running my trusty 980Ti and it plays Cyberpunk at Medium/Low at playable fps (I have a 144hz monitor). But Cyberpunk on Low actually looks pretty damn nice! (Shame the game is so bad lol)

Wise words and funny you mention the GTX1070, that's the card I currently have. :D I have had it for years and all the buzz around new graphics cards has me wanting an upgrade, maybe I should re-evaluate...

Thanks.

There have been no updates because there is no news, but hopefully there might be an update today or at some point this week if there is news.

I know it is frustrating, but it is the reality of the current state of logistics that there isn't much useful information on these deliveries until they first reach the local distributor and then are resent on to OCUK at best, and maybe not actually until they just turn up at the dock one day without warning...

I doubt overclockers will do anything, but it would be nice if we got something for sticking with them for as long as we have instead of going somewhere else to try and order?
Like for example I still have to pay for shipping, But if i made 100 posts I would be a loyal customer and could get free shipping,
So it would be nice if they just made you into a loyal customer instead of that
but IDK there isn't exactly anywhere else to go so why should they.

Only 91 more posts to go.

91 posts and 58 days time (to satisfy 12 months) :p

I need to rack up 120 more posts...
