Arctic Freezer II 240 & asus prime x470 Motherboard questions

Has anyone installed a Rev 3 version of this water cooler on an asus Prime X470 motherboard without needing to request a mounting kit replacement from arctic? I dont want to go ahead an buy one & have all the issues with it not fitting & have to put my freezer 34 back on.

Doesn't the freezer 34 have the same retention kit?

I’ve just installed an Arctic freezer 240 Rev 3 on an asus x470i

The mounting kit was a little too close for comfort on some of the caps around the cpu mount. There are however a selection of ‘holes’ one can use to help but let’s just say I applied electrical tape to the undersides of the retention clips ‘just in case’!

All working fine btw

so if that's like that on yours then mine maybe the same, going to wait till it is back in stock at ocuk then order it & if it is a pain to fit I can atleast send it back stating that.

can you not fit a 280 or 360 in your case?

It's not the case that is the concern it was the pump fitting on some am4 boards unless the pump is different on other models.

just they have the 360 in stock if you were going to buy it from there.

Yeah seen that and may consider it, should fit in a coolermaster mb520 no bother.

The 240 is back instock so just ordered it, lets see if all goes to plan

The cooler is in, oh it is very close to the capacitors on the left side of the cpu socket. It's actually doing a good job at cooling, 31c idle and 52c at full load.

Installed the REV 3 few weeks ago, but should be fine.
It's close on the X570-F too, but as long as it isn't touching/smashing anything, should be fine.
Requested the previous REV mounting from Arctic and was promised one when available.
