You'd imagine they're covering themselves from getting stung with a customs tab or something. You'd also imagine that they'd have that sorted ahead of time... like in the last 4 years from the Brexit vote till Jan 1st.
don't think even the government knew what would be needed until days before New Year
 
As I understand it, DPD are insisting on information that we never needed to have before and collecting all of that information for nearly 10,000 product lines is taking a while. I'm sure that you can appreciate that. They won't accept the parcels without it.
not exactly what i want to hear but i understand ,thank you for the info . ill try just forget about my pc build again for another few weeks i guess :( i know its not your guys fault and again do appreciate the info but jeez has this been the perfect sh*tstorm.

I'm going to have to register as a pallet manufacture because we send 4 pallets a month to the UK and can't use off the shelf pallets. Every little step in the process is banjaxed.

i feel the exact same.
i will never stop til i get an update about the msi shipment.
just got to keep asking until i get it.
its just a pain that my card is out there somewhere on a boat or in a container at the docks.
so far yet so close

Could be worse, you could be in the North. Its getting weird here, with now both EU and GB companies starting to refuse us service. At least you can buy from DE/FR/ES... but in the North we can't because when it suits everyone we ARE in the UK!

So where does that leave us? Seems nobody knows and few care.

I didn't get the email to say I'm on hold like the Irish customers... but at the same time new GPU's are not being sold to NI. So at this point I don't know if I'd get my card even if it arrived. Fun times.

the problem is, like a crack head you are coming across as mistrusting, impatient & pushy.

The last major update I gave you on said MSI shipment clearly stated that we didn't have an Estimated Time of ARRIVAL, only an estimated shipping date. I took a guess, based on the previous shipment, which I clearly stated was a guess, that we'd hope to get the delivery during the week STARTING 25th...and despite this you started demanding updates multiple times, starting first thing on the 25th. That's not a really reasonable response. If you'd started asking first thing on the coming Friday then I could understand, but what you're doing is equivalent to calling DPD at 7am on the day that your parcel is expected, demanding to know why it hasn't been delivered yet. You wouldn't do that.

The simple answer is that we still don't know, the guess was made before it became clear that many similar shipments are becoming stuck in customs for over a week...and I've also said before that we don't have the time or inclination to answer the same question over & over again, especially when the only answer that we can give is "we don't know".

I know that none of this is what you want to hear but it's the truth.
 
I won't name competitors obviously but I've had to pre-order elsewhere because OCUK (sensibly) stopped taking pre-orders. The place I've pre-ordered though, some guy ordered an RTX 3080 MSI Ventus 3X OC on 1st January and it's just been delivered. Sucks for those waiting here. I ordered mine a few days later so it's looking promising I'll get it before people who ordered on release day.

If I am coming across as mistrusting, pushy and impatient I apologise but you have to understand as I am currently in 4th for one of the 3080's my excitement is unmeasurable, so any sliver of news is comparable to me (at least) receiving a priceless diamond

there apparently was a shipment sent out on the 14th from msi and scotti predicted that it would come on the 25th/today, so where is it gibbo?
what has happened to that shipment has it arrived or is it never going to come?

That Asus update from Gibbo has me a bit worried about the future of my TUF non OC order. Im still 200 odd back in the queue. i hope it doesnt end up with us all being refunded at some point, also obviously a big loss on the cards atm for OCUK

i'm sorry if i seem like mistrusting, pushy and impatient I just have a lot of crap going on and i need my card desperately to do my work to be able to get into UNI.
lot's of friends and family keep saying that I have been scammed and I know for a fact I haven't but as the days go on I keep getting a nagging feeling like I will never get my card.

I want to say I'm truly sorry to you scotti and gibbo for my impatient behaviour.

I have autism so please understand that I didn't intend to be so pushy or anything.
I just sometimes go over the top because I compulsively need to know everything that is going on and I cant control it

Seeing the Strix 3080 stuff coming in should make me excited to know at least somes coming in but with the DPD issues it doesn't really change much lol.
 
Asus 3080 TUF NONE OC - 20pc (our cost on these before we add margin is £757.50, so we lose over £100 per card, that is how miss leading the MSRP was, thats a £2000 loss right there)

Will we still be getting our cards at the cost we bought them for originally?
