*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

Back in October 23rd when I purchased my Strix OC 3080 someone commented that it would likely take till Feb to be delivered. I doubted the person (trying to be optimistic) but believe I was right for the wrongt reason because I honestly think I will recieve it April instead :p:p * crys inside *

Pre New Year when we had a big MSI & Gigabyte deliveries but no Asus what were you saying then?

I know for a fact that there's at least one fairly substantial Gigabyte delivery stuck in customs for the last two weeks, although I also know that most of that is my motherboard stock. However, there are many such issues affecting supply right now.

I understand, was just posting to see what other customers were thinking. I’ve read almost every page on this forum and I know about each delivery that has arrive :) and no, I do not have a short memory thanks for asking.
 
Hi there

I said beginning of month 3080 shipments would be very thin on ground and that to expect it to not actually improve until March/April as Chinese New Year is incoming and all the factories will shut down in a China for a few days where nearly all the cards are manufactured.

Volume shipments this month has been 3070 and by end of next week we expect to clear all backlog and also sold around 2000 units this weekend when we listed them in stock.

3090 shipments are second best.

3080 and 3060Ti are none existent!

We do has shipments coming our way from both MSI and Gigabyte but I won’t post the numbers or a confirmation of that until the distributor contacts me as the time delay can be as little a days or as much as a month so I now only post when distributor confirms stock is shipping and then it arrives with ourself 1-5 days later.

I know it is a silly question, but if I ordered a Gigabyte RTX 3070 AORUS Master tonight, would it be shipped (to East London) this week? :) I had to realize that the price difference between my 6-month old 2070 Super FE on the second hand market and this new 3070 would not change too much if there were no stock issues.

Nah, it will still be Feb ...2022...

Sorry mate, had to do it :p, but truly, I hope you'll get your card in a few weeks.

Odd that the two cards that aren't shipping are 3060ti and 3080 when those happen to be the two most efficient mining cards. I'm not saying that there are cards being sold to GPU farms on the side but I'm not saying its unlikely either
 
Ahhh come on.... :(

How typical... 8 Strix Non-OCs become OC (im position 8) and now the next shipment is only 5... at the rate we are seeing Non-OC cards I've probably now got several months of being 3rd in line to look forward too... this is torture!

Definitely sounds like a better idea as it won't leave people hanging for as long as you mentioned.

I understand you're not confirming much at this point, but is there much hope for the 3080 Ventus bois with this potential shipment?

A good chance but not guaranteed but those 3070’s will probably be sold out tomorrow so don’t hang around.

If you've already paid then technically they have to honor the price. My Strix 3080 OC is now more than I paid and no extra money requested. If they did want it, they'd get a nice letter from trading standards.

Very good that you at OCUK are honouring price paid at time, in my case, ie tuf3080 OC, it is a nice gesture considering how things have changed since October and it should be appreciated, as things could be very different, people should be a little more grateful instead of just thinking it is their right, nuff said. :eek:

Not trying to stir things up, but if the purchase price goes too high and they can't argue their way out of it with the distributors the option remains to simply cancel the order.

Nobody wants to do that obviously, and it still costs them money in CC fees, but there is no obligation to supply the card, only that if they do chose to supply it as orderded, then it will be at the price you paid.
 
The price you paid originally has to be the contract unless the seller pulls out which would kill their future business. I like the way OCUK has been communicating since new year but I still remember the weeks/months from launch where reps were still ignoring this thread.

Competitors have destroyed OCUK with communication over this whole launch/release, even now the information here is so far removed from what you can see in other places and that is sad as a customer of here!
