Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Im in the annoying position that i'm "up" from my GME bets, but then because i sold out and moved into BB/NOK, i'm then down on those trades, due to todays drops.

It's the decision of do i

A) Cut my losses on these two, accept i've gone from~£700 to $1300 and move on

or

B) Pray these two moon, whilst keeping an eye on them dropping too far, on the basis i still have a decent "profit" overall from the WSB trades.

If you believe in the companies, hold.
If you're betting, decide the minimum and maximum numbers you'll pull out at then wait for those numbers.

Be patient. Stop looking at the ticker. Your heart will thank you for it.

I avoided it all.

In hindsight if I'd have gotten in I think I'd have done OK. This is days ago.
I'd have sold at open yesterday.

Absolutely no way was I going in when it was stable yesterday. That (it almost always is on crypto) precedes a correction.

Keep getting posters saying' this isn't crypto 'but I still feel these antics are crypto.

Yeah same here. Looked like BB was rallying but it's now down in the 17's

EDIT - FML, went to avg down on BB and had pressed Sell instead at one of it's lowest points - @Apex Told you it was something i'd do (Think it was you that did similar)
Yep I'm the other fool that did just that. They need to be colour coded. Red sell, blue buy or something. Sure there must be situations where it

Certainly the same feeling as crypto. Very pump and dump mindset.

So they could take a huge chunk?

IG dont own GME stock even. The business of spreadbetting is banned in USA hence options and so on are mentioned on reddit I guess. Indirectly IG or whichever company will cover their exposure by holding options but its also possible they just ride the risk in cash and rely on the customer selling a loss as it swings against them. UK taxes these companies very usefully, we have some of the best laws in this respect. Its a bit like insurance is how I think of it, events that may or may not ever occur.
GME is useful in that we'll see spikes again elsewhere, like on a wider basis I hope in silver or gold but I dont know where exactly I just presume it will not be so specific

Google or watch silver spike 1980 on youtube I reckon is relevant

It is completely that.

A sudden and unjustified increase with no justification?
It's always going to correct. I was bitten a few times in crypto jumping on too late. Now I only get in at dips. No matter how tempting an increase.

It's starting to pay off in crypto. Which is where I'm going to stay

It's absolutely criminal that the brokers (212/Robin Hood) simply banned people from buying shares therefore forcing the price to crash. How can that be allowed?

What actually happened here. They banned it? Or they couldn't let you buy?

And if the former. It's absolutely disgusting. Something I'd expect from coinbase

IG isn't just a spread-betting platform. It has a regular share dealing account too.

GME sub $200 now. Hope people got out because I'd be staggered if it went back up again. With no one able to buy in, r/WSB down and people panic selling because they put their mortgage on it - this is done. Thank god!
