3080 FE temps - is this normal?

Wouldnt worry about the gpu temps, it's the memory you gotta watch and those Fe cards are pretty bad with that!
How do you measure the 30XX memory temp?

Just transplanted my build in a P500a. Amazing case, such a easy case to build in.

3080FE idle temp is now 28c with 3x140mm intake fans and 3x140mm exhaust fans at 400rpm.

Has even knocked 5c off my 5800x to idle of around 32c.

Idle currently sitting at a quite chilly 21c

Not sure why everyone things the 30XX FE card run hot. This is the coolest GPU i've ever owned! (Well, maybe not the Matrox Mystique 220!)

21c is very good, I need to fiddle with my fans profile tomorrow but yeah the 3080fe is the coolest card I've ever owned, even cooler than my 980TI hybrid!

Have you undervolted now then?

It's an incredibly cool card and I also don't get coil wine like I did on my 5700XT Nitro+. The 5700XT also ran a little hotter, which was a surprise given the beefy cooler.

Idle is 35c (0RPM fan), and in COD-BOCW with everything maxxed (RT, DLSS, 1440p) it runs between 65 and 70c. I've never seen it hit thermal or power limit, which means it's absolutely happy where it is.

Still need to play with case fan profile and linked temps a bit but more than happy.

Nope, I removed the undervolt and just left the custom fan profile as thought it was affecting gaming (it wasnt the undervolt at all) Might give it another go tomorrow but im maxing out at 64c gaming

cheers @TomDD will check...

10 mins im seeing max 86c memory temp

I pushed it to 69c max (90c memory) but this was running Kombuster and 2025MHz core clock

Hmmmm, I think the overheating problem lies in the use of lemon curd as a coolant. It's quite notorious for this. Please check out

***** The Official 'Do not use lemon curd as a coolant thread' *****
The curd isn't doing the 3080 cooling in that picture, but I will soon be reintroducing the curd back to the loop - or 'curding' as they say :D

Decided to take a look at overclocking via undervolting.

Currently at 1935MHz @ 0.9v. Need to stress it a bit before I try 1950.
