Can I confirm if the latest 3080 none oc shipment is additional to the announcement before that? If so, that would be a total of 70 cards coming right? I'm actually position 60 (hi @Sappy at 61 ) so that would be me due it next week
 
Nice and also annoying to see Asus stuff coming in. Sadly us poor sods that went for the 3080 ventus seem absutrly screwed. Getting fed up at this point and tempted to just cancel and spend my money on something else that I might actually be able to get. Still sitting at 427th in queue.. genuinely a bit depressing.

I don't want to get your hopes up but on Friday/Saturday another user on this forum mentioned that they got their weekly update and moved 1 spot to position 4, but, received an email shortly after saying their Strix 3080 OC was shipped. In short, the queue position you're in might not be the real position.

Personally, I'm in 12th officially.
 
How come some brands are producing way less cards than others? I don't know basically anything about manufacturing of GPUs, could someone clue me in?

As a fellow NI citizen, I haven’t had shipping issues per se. ScottiB has (very helpfully) clarified that we will definitely get our cards, and at no increased cost compared to what we paid at the time of purchase.

Any delay is going to be on DPD/DHL’s end. They can’t decide what paperwork needs filled out and are asking OCUK for information that’s never been needed before, so much so that OCUK are having to rewrite part of their sales software.

Now that I understand more about what OCUK are doing, it’s clear that they have been doing all they can.

The reason I went with it is because that’s the first one I could get in my cart and checkout with before the site crashed on launch day.

I was just reading through to see all the updates on the Asus cards and such, also filtered scottie and Gibbo's posts to make sure I got the info, nice to see things are slowly coming together- albeit very slowly, but it must be something of a relief for the staff.

ScottieB seems so genuinely disheartened it's actually saddening to see. I only signed up to the forums a week ago to keep an eye on stock things so I dont have to bother the already overloaded staff with questions and I've had so many alerts from people asking the same things, I can see why he'd be upset and I can safely say there is a time when even the most robust humans reach a snapping point, he's human- it happens.

What matters @ScottiB and @Gibbo is that you clearly have a very passionate and veru supportive community here, amongst the drama, the QQ and the rage there has been (particularly in response to your large post) a great many more offering words of encouragement and support to you and the staff and that's definitely heartening to see, I'm sure.

Keep doing what you do best, take a breather and walk away if you have to- no one has a right to blame anyone, least of all OC staff for this mess when most if not all of it is completely out of their control, focus on the positive reinforcement I've seen coming from a lot of the people here and that should go some way to putting smiles back on those faces.
We all want our cards, yes waiting sucks but it's just something we all need to deal with as bst we can. We the customers and even OCUK are in uncharted waters right now and it's up to the community as a whole to keep the ship upright.

In the spirit of keeping things happier- I'm curious to know, what's the FIRST game everyone is going to load up and drool at when they get their shiny new GPU's? ^^

I think mine will be ARK, It would be great to see my baby dinosaurs without the game running and looking like something said dinosaurs pooped out! :P
 
So let me get this straight, I didn't have the money on launch day for a Asus Rog Strick 3080 Oc so I had to wait till I did. I'm finally one day away from get paid enough to order one just for them to stop allowing orders that day, and during the time I've been waiting for them to become available they've increase the price twice I believe it is now. Look, I understand supply and demand but this is starting to take the absolute mick. Like I didn't even have a chance to order one before the price was increased by ~10% and I've been waiting for a chance well before Christmas. Seems like the only thing patience is going to be rewarded with is increased prices, thanks for the bigger hole in my bank account if they ever actually do become available.

Day 1, hour 1.2 orders like myself are not fulfilled yet and you didn't even get in then.
Being upset is for those with skin in the game, go order somewhere cheaper if you feel that OCUK has been unfair to you, who has not purchased an item.

Probably Cyberpunk for me.
I could try it just now but my old 7970 might just give up altogether. :)
