Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Curious actually with the German listing for Gamestop.

Presumably if the shorts are against the US GME ticker, then does the German listing actually matter? Or is it just shares in the company full stop so it's a 1:1 match?

If you work in IT for a financial institution such as an investment bank, broker, etc, you will also be restricted.

Yes anywhere in FS IT you are restricted, every firm I've worked at anyway (RBS/JPMC/HSBC). You *can* trade but it needs to be approved in advance usually. Minimum holding periods, etc etc.

Possibily, just need to see what happens.

Seems some fairly big names are publicly backing GME too

Christ that WSB post....these people think they're all going to get rich. It's turned into a cult.

The people that can afford to lose, are going to win, and the people that can't afford to lose, are going to lose.

Because everyone aspires to "brand name meat" :p

WSB nonsense aside....

It does seem like this week may be the week the bears take charge....how much is down to the nonsense is kinda hard to say.

Does feel a lot like the mania is peaking.

Seems Citron have announced they're no longer going to take Short positions (or create short reports), GME looks to be rocketing in the German markets.

Not sure what relevance it has on existing shorts though.

Also seems like some people have found out who DFV is and posted it online/shared it with CNBC. Some Financial Advisor in Massachusetts.

I guess it either makes him massively more popular or hated :p

Yeah, stick it to the man! Lose your money on the stock markets and hand it to Wall Street....that'll teach em!
It's odd, for sure. Looking at the subreddit, it's clear that it'll be everyone for themselves once they've managed to get the scalps they want. There will be some people seriously out of pocket.

They only announced they're not going to publish short reports, they didn't say anything about taking positions

No surprise there really

I'm guessing that even if i did fancy a small flutter on this, that there is no broker that would clear a deposit/funds immediately/today?

Haha, so they still do it and manipulate the market that way, but don't publish stuff so we can't read it and do it as well, what does that tell you...
