Or Dags if you have seen the movie snatch.

For me I think it should be licensed with a permit to own a dog. You should only be able to buy a dog from a licensed breeder with the proper documentation etc.

Any dog not chipped and not under this new scheme is I am sorry ****** and destroyed.
Have an amnesty of 12 months.

This makes it harder for anyone to have a dog and means if you have a dog you undertake the responsibility to feed it look after it - insure it, etc it is chipped to you!

Mandatory sterilisation outside licensed breeders stops random pups.

Above all it stops fannies who have no idea and care at all from having dogs that are dangerous as well as ******* on the world of dog fighters.

It is not the dogs fault no it never is. But dogs have ate people and kids. And that is the responsibility of the humans keeping them and letting them breed and failing to control them.

So. Legislate dog ownership.

I agree with the fact there should be more checks done on dog owners, breeders is already a licenced thing, although it is abused but it would be no matter what you do. I think destroying the animal is wrong, it can easily be rehomed to someone that is after an older dog. But if it applied to dogs then it should apply to every 'larger' pet, not so much hamsters, fish etc but dogs, cats, horses etc

As for the eating kids thing, we had a family dog and she was very loving, we treated her well and she adored our kids. One night out of nowhere she went for one of the kids and unfortunately bit them. Like I said this was completely out of character as before then she was all cuddled up with the child getting a fuss and giving them kisses. The child did nothing to provoke the dog at all. All pets are of course 'animals' and just like people they can be unpredictable, so just because you have a licence and get checked on does not mean the dog does not have the ability to attack.

Yeah great idea, push dog buying even more underground, this would work as well as making drugs illegal.... People will still want them, and go out and buy them

Got to here and stopped reading.

What a horrible, hateful thing to suggest.

Policing this would be absolutely ridiculous as well, almost as ridiculous as the suggestion.

Can't stand the bloody things either.

Go for a walk at any country park or nature reserve and the first half a mile of path in either direction from the car park or entrance will be covered in dog ****.

I go for a walk around the fields here are these couple have these 2 dogs that go for me if they get anywhere within about 200 metres. Literally full pelt over the fields barking and growling right in my face, not been bitten, yet..... But I might start walking with a baseball bat.

One of the many things Germany does better...there you pay a dog tax. That is used to pay for maintenance of dedicated dog areas in every park, so there's no excuses.

Also, laws are enforced.

I read this thread to my dogs. They don't agree.

The one that still has his balls also said "woof, woooooof, grrrr" - so yea, if you want this then just try it, he'll kick poo in your eyes.

Disclaimer: my dogs have no idea what this means and are completely helpless if someone wants to harm them, they would be lifeless before they know what was happening. Murderous rhetoric from yet another dog hater on this forum.

Has anyone seen the insane prices people are asking for dogs? £2000 for a German Shepherd. People are actually paying this? We always rescue are dogs though. We rescued a German Shepherd, He's now fully trained to bite on command, he also picks his own poo up.

Cats have shot up in price too.

I do worry about lockdown dogs though and the lack of proper socialisation.

One of ours used to pick his own crap up too. Well it came out one end, he turned around and gobbled up his freshly laid chocolate éclair. Sorted after the parasite treatment kicked in.

Your example couldn't fall any flatter if you tried...

OP is suggesting heavily regulating dog breeding and ownership, which means it'll be a government regulated, but legal practice... Unlike drugs which are currently illegal so exclusively underground. If drugs were given the same regulation and decriminalised, they wouldn't be underground... You literally just countered your own argument.
