They did this with the msi lightning 2080ti pricing it around 2k+ and said it was basically a publicity stunt. Still probably sold at that price to some lunatic though.

With the sale of the RTX 3000 series and AMDs 6000 series selling faster than any one of these companies guessed (at the scalping rates) the next range will now start at :-

and people said a few years back that there will never be a £1k gaming card . They are slowly preparing us now for £2k+ cards to be the norm.
