Radeon 6800 crashing all the time

Do you have a spare HDD you can put an install of windows on just to eliminate a software issue?

I would then remove and refit everything, fire up and run some diagnostics, look at temps and voltages of as much as you can while running a benchmark.
If the problem persists then start an RMA with OCUK (if that is where you got the card)

1600MHz still crashes

XMP @1.37V still the same
That's not good, just one other thing. Were assuming it's your GPU here that crashing but when doing any intensive tasks your CPU will ramp up as well. Try running Prime95 to load up your CPU and memory, if that passes try Intel Burn Test if both run for a period and see if you get any more crashes just loading the CPU and Ram. If your system is still falling over then it may not be your video card at which point we can start trying things with your memory and CPU.

This is all trail and error, we really don't want to RMA your video card due to the current situation with back orders and delays.

you never answered the question if you are using hwinfo or not? :)
I haven't been using it. I have it now, but not sure how to use it, as everything (GPU heavy) crashes instantly, so I can't monitor things while benchmarking.

What did you use to overclock the GPU?
Radeon Software

This PC has been solid as a rock for ages before the GPU upgrade. Never OC'ed, as frankly never had to or could be bothered. Prime95 50min no errors, IBT 10 runs @ Very High Stress Lvl all good as well...

It does sound GPU related, but no idea if software or hardware, what GPU did you have before ? I would be tempted to do a complete DDU of system including all AMD drivers (chipset as well) then install the latest chipset and AMD Radeon drivers and see where you go from there. If it still persists I guess you need to go down the RMA route. Don't be put off though these 6800 are great cards, really loving my MSI 6800.

please temporary uninstall it just to remove it from the equation, like i said the non beta version can cause random reboots/crashing.

980ti , I did that with AMD uninstall utility...
I am honestly devastated. I was waiting 6 years for this switch and now this... FFS.

I only downloaded it after your post... also not an install, just an .exe

your psu has a 58a 12v rail so doubt its that, one thing ive noticed you are using a gigabyte board. what bios revision are you on? some of them are querky as hell. im on the x570 auros pro. currently tested f31, f32 and f33a with a 6800 without any issues. using pci gen 4 and re size bar.
might be worth updating to a more recent version if your on an older version.

but either way try to load optimized defaults and test with just that.

some of the gigabyte bios settings stuck through a reset and the only way to clear them was to reflash the bios and so if you run an overclock that's unstable but reset the settings in the bios, they might not actually reset...

I'm also on 33a. PCI gen3, before that Auto, Re size bar Disabled, no OC just XMP and SMT Disabled.

did you ever check f32 or f31? just curious if you had the same on those?
No. Updated before the card arrived.

This is really driving me up the wall. This card was working few days ago. Not great, but was working for extended periods of time before it crashed eventually. Now nothing works... WHAT IS THE VARIABLE????

well i would suggest rolling back to f31 or f32 as a first step, f33a is still a beta bios.

i would then load optimized defaults.

then i would try to load win 10 on a spare hdd/ssd if you have one and testing bone stock everything and see if you can replicate the issue.
i would only install chipset /gpu drivers and a few games for testing. go from there.

but thats just me and im not sure if im suggesting stuff that you have tried already :)

Gutted for you, may be worth contacting where you purchased and seeing what the turnaround is like for RMA ? Do you know anyone trustworthy who could test the card for you.

This is a good suggestion, any old hd will do as long as it fits windows and a game or two. windows install is very quick these days, less than
a few hours work

F32 on it's own didn't do much... Actually no I haven't done that yet. I was hoping it's not going to come to this... but I think we run out of options. This will require some preparation.

I buy most of my gear at Overclockers. Did call yesterday but they are tight lipped on the turnaround/restock. This is a huge problem, as I got rid of the 980Ti. Now I will have to buy some crappy GPU to get by...

Could you stick the 6800 in another machine and see if it crashes?
This is a problem, as I don't have access to another desktop or know anyone with a proper PC.

Have you tried running memtest, and if you have two modules firstly with one then with the other on it's own.
