£2.69999K for a 3090? WTF

I'm quite surprised these price increases haven't yet hit mobile phones, it's predicted to this year (push up phone rices by a lot)
I hope not as i was thinking of maybe upgrading my Samsung Note 9 later this year

But am still not sure if i even want to upgrade it as my note 9 is still working great and completely does everything i need of it..

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread already but wasnt this the range of card to overclock pass 3000MHz on LN2? That card was just off the shelf to apparently not even hand picked.

There are 7 cards in this range all in this price range if not more.

Problem is there so manys things that are sold well over priced due to supply & demand
Houses is one of them which is far worst then just an over priced GPU so maybe they should think about making a law for this first  (Rolled eyes at them not you ;) )

You even see some simple things like some lego sets

Not sure about the UK, but down here we have a law that tickets for concerts, movies or whatever are not allowed to be sold over the retail purchase price - it's illegal if you attempt to sell above that.
It should not be hard to include other products like a CPU, mobile phone, TV etc - should not be allowed to sell over what you paid for it

Thing is no one here runs LN2 24/7 so 3000 mhz is not going to happen, more interesting would be what can this card do, on air like all the other cards. it wont reach 3000mhz for sure, most likely not more than any other top tier cards.

I'll put a $100 bet on it running the exact same clock speeds as any other card on air and water - these cards are power and temp limited and binning wont change that. Binning is about achieving higher clock speeds while maintaining stability - binning does not overcome heat limits and power limits

I have never seen the GPU market like this before. This £2700 card is going to be sold out soon after being stocked im sure. I have just seen the same 3090 that i paid £1530 for 4 months ago, has just become sold out at the other place for £2100. i saw "30 people are buying this " on the product page. absolutely insane ! its just an average 3090.

When the Titan V launched at £2700 it was sold out in minutes and it was months before anyone could get one.

If the card is good enough people will buy it regardless of price.

(NVidia ATM have a problem, the 6900 XT is beating the 3090 in some situations).

Problem doesn't really exist if people keep buying the 3090 (check steam market share stats)

The 3090 doesn't have to win every situation, just as Ryzen 5900x/5950x doesn't need to beat the 10900k in every situation - just the important ones and on average to claim the title and thee who holds the titles garners the marketing power from it which flows down the stack to other model sales too.

Nvidia does have SAM coming as well which will grant it a few extra single digit percentage gains - its not like they need it, but no reason not to bump up the whole stack a few percent
