as above really,
after advice on getting together the rest of the parts needed to build my first gaming pc.
will be used for gaming mainly warzone, apex legends, escape from tarkov & AAA rpg etc.

res required is 1440p on a samsung g7 32" Odyssey (pretty sure the g7 doesnt support 4k) but would like to get as much fps out of the pc as possible i guess within reason.

if anyone has any suggestions for a build it would be highly appreciated.

would like to get it as good as I can rather than have to upgrade bits and bobs at a later date.

thanks in advance.

Budget? Do you need WiFi? Any preference on case or size etc? Do you like/want RGB or not fussed etc?

Hi, I think WIFI would def be something to look at as im moving soon and dont think I will have an ethernet cable upstairs so wouldn't want to rule that out. As for RGB some would be nice just for some ambient lighting but as far as it looking like a xmas tree goes definately dont need to go that far ;)

Great, but you missed the first key question... Any sort of budget? Lol :D

I mean you've already got the most important and expensive part, so imagine you've got a decent budget available.

sorry I missed that bit out!

1200-1500 I would say would be enough i would like to think as a start, I have the monitor, graphics card and peripherals. but if i needed to go a bit more I could warrant it rather than have something that would under perform or be problematic.

appreciate the reply.

Similar idea to micky - may as well go a bit into the Corsair ecosystem! I went B550 as X570 not really going to provide you with any difference, other than this B550 board doesn't have the chipset fan so one less thing to be noisy or go wrong. I also prefer ASUS BIOS' over other manufacturers. The wifi antenna on this board is positionable too, so can sit it on top of rig or place it for better wifi signal if needed.

This AIO is 360mm which I'd recommend front-mounting to the case, for better cooling config and clean RGB on the front too. The front fan that's pre-installed the case I would top-mount as exhaust, along with the rear exhaust already pre-installed too. It's slightly more expensive with it being a bigger AIO - but part of cost is also as it comes with Corsair's latest Commander Core hub (usually charge £50 odd for these things), so you can connect all the fans (including 2 case fans) and control them all via the iCUE software.

Picked some Corsair RGB RAM too for few quid more. I would've gone with the 5600X to save some money, but OCUK are overcharging £70 over RRP, that you may as well get the 5800X. The extra cores on 5800X you may appreciate anyway for longjevity of the rig, plus if you decide to ever stream or do some photo/video editing you'll appreciate it as well.

Overall think it would look and run as a great system paired with the 6800 XT. :)

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,272.85 (includes shipping: £0.00)

thanks for this looks good, apart from availability obviously would i notice a huge gain by using the amd 9 5900x? what are the key main points of faster processors?
im new to pc so some questions may seem obvious to some but for me its a huge learning curve for me btw hense all the questions. id rather ask and look stupid rather than not ask!

Not really in terms of gaming there is practically nothing in it. I went for the 5900X personally as I got my order in on launch day, so eventually got it after a few weeks of waiting - and at RRP importantly!

But I would definitely not be displeased using a 5800X it is a great CPU. Also the fact availability being a huge issue for 5900X, I would still be very happy on a 5800X. The new Ryzen 5000 CPUs have much better improved IPCs (instructions per clock) and clock speeds in general compared to last gen. Even a 5600X is more than adequate and a great CPU for gaming.

Also playing at 1440p with Zen 3 you're generally going to be GPU limited rather than CPU bottle necked (which is a good thing, so don't worry) lol.

ok thanks im getting some compatabilty issues with the motherboard from what i can make out in terms of Tower Case has a front panel USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port, but the Asus ROG STRIX B550-F Motherboard doesnt have sufficient USB 3.2 Gen 2 or Gen 1 headers.so the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port wouldnt be usable

any suggestions on that please?

this one would appear to be ok from the first link that micky posted up
MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi (AMD AM4) DDR4 X570 ATX Motherboard= £209.99

Ah the USB C header port on the case. It has 3.2 Gen 2 on rear already, but 3.2 Gen 1 for the internal case header.

But yeah no problems with the MSI X570 Tomahawk that’s a great mobo still.

No probs dude. Yeah case is entirely personal preference, but the 4000D Airflow is a new model recently from Corsair - and to keep it brand matching and all thought it'd go well. Plus you'll have the AIO's RGB fans on the front for ambient lighting. :)

But whatever you go for case wise, just make sure it can fit a 360mm AIO on the top or front - or have to change AIO to a smaller 280/240mm one.

i was looking at the lian li mesh 2 or the be quiet pure base 500dx think the latter is out of stock but look like they will match up. i think anyway

may also use a be quiet dark rock 4 135mm air cooler as well which would save a fair chunk of money compared to the water cooler?

Yeah both nice cases the LL Mesh 2 and BQ 500DX.

Cooler wise, yeah if fancy a cheaper air cooler the Dark Rock Pro 4 or Alpenfohn do some good ones - just as I posted, micky's idea is also good.

went with the li lian case in the end, says stock due on the 16th feb so not too long to wait, just liked the design of that a bit better than the corsair one
