*** NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3080 SERIES STOCK SITUATION - NO COMPETITOR DISCUSSION ***

I love seeing people complaining when they're at like No. 2 for only like 5 weeks, when there's people at five hundred who haven't changed in 3 months

Or us poor sods who didn't have the funds at launch and can't even get in the queue. I now have the money but have no way to get a card, I've been trying for weeks using Twitter stock alerts but they're always gone within 10 seconds, generally before the page even loads. It feels absolutely bizarre having a £1000 offer declined on eBay, before all this went down I would have never imagined paying that much, but now it's not enough, because the greedy gremlins want £1500 for a £750 card. I would be extremely happy to be on a queue.

I don't think you quite get it. Even if you did get "in the queue" you'de be at the back of 1000+ people. GPUs will become available after Chinese New Year and most other retailers have cleared the majority of their backlog already so will be putting cards up for sale when stock arrives. You'll be looking at July or August for a GPU in the OC queue..........

And that's definitely preferable to constantly having to be on my phone/discord waiting for drops, it's stressful and frustrating. I'd much rather know I'm number 990 and will get it eventually.

At least then you're not limited to one brand or card. Asus and gigabyte have delivered a lot more cards than others etc.

Thats some wait i'm afraid and annoying you didn't pick something up in October secondhand to tied you over. Its getting worse day by day at the mo

it’s unreal, used prices are through the roof! Glad I managed to get a 3070fe on Nov to tide me over! Nearly didn’t as thought the eagle would land by Christmas at the longest.

Could some one from overclockers please reply to my questions as gigabyte has asked me to refer my question's to you the online retailer whom my order is placed with . Since release on 17 Sept 2020 I know that millions of pounds of orders not just your company but lots .have been taken as preorders .my question is has the amount of gigabyte Eagle cards being delivered to you increased since Jan from the dismal amount of 3 you informed me .I would phone and ask but you ask us not to.ive sent A web messages I but never get a reply. Plan reason I'm asking is gibbo said we would be keep well Informed on the forum.its was going well at around 60 cards a month then down to 3 and still waiting for a email with last months new queue number. So could some one please fro overclocker post the amount of cards that came in. gigabyte model Eagle 10G master. I know there's stock floating around as if I had more money I would had purchased one 2 days ago before they all got snapped up .
Thanks for reading

don’t waste your time with Twitter stick alerts, they are to slow, get yourself on telegram or discord, you still won’t get one but at least you will see the alerts in near real time.

The Manufacturers are just palming you off. Asus did to me too! How are OCUK supposed to tell you when cards are coming if the AIB can't even answer you. Any information OCUK does have goes in Gibbo's locked thread. If the info isn't there about Eagles, then he doesn't know when some are coming.

yeah thats the point I tried to make as well, some people prefer to be jumping at every discord alert, changing their life so they can watch for alerts versus just joining a queue and waiting whilst getting on with life. I did get a 3080 FE on a drop but I still think queues are the way to go.

The queues themselves are not the problem, if OCUK got stock at respectable levels, the original queue would have been long gone, the questions are to be asked at the AIB partners why they can only stock stores at less than 5 cards per week, whilst at the same time stock miners with pallets full of cards.

At 500 odd in the queue I honestly dont think I will get my Strix OC until May or June, but as a Brit I do enjoy a good queue even a digital one!

It seems to be becoming clearer that the reason for the shortages of these GPU's is folk doing mining scooping up all the cards. There was a thing on Gamers Nexus showing miners in China with rooms full of laptops with 30series GPU's, so it would appear that punters in China have access to as many 30 series laptops as they want, each one with a GPU in it that's not going in to a discreet card. Now I can understand why this would make cards hard to buy, IE as soon as they came in to stock they would be scooped up by folk using scripted transactions, but I don't understand why this would have effect on stores like OC:UK not getting stock at all. Nvidia themselves or the more like the AIB partners themselves must be complicit in this, I mean it makes sense, why direct stock to folk like us who have already paid for a card at a lower price when you can sell them in bulk to miners in your home country who will buy them in bulk at an inflated price? You look at the card I am in the queue for the 3080 Tuf OC, there hasn't been more than a handful arrived at OC:UK in the last 10 weeks, now you can tell me that's down to Chinese New Year all you want, but that's obviously cacka.

I nearly pulled the pin on a 2070S over the summer to keep me going till 3080 landed but didn't want to 'waste' £430.... saw one go for £620 yesterday, bonkers.

Probably because nvidia and their partners know the mining boom will be short lived so they are trying to cater for as many mining orders as possible to maximise profits knowing that once crypto crashes they can then switch back to supplying gamers who after the shortage will be eager to hover up the rest of the stock and at higher prices.
