I have a Gigabyte Arous extreme waterforce 2080ti with its own built in liquid cooler. The pump for the cooler has stopped working as the radiator is cold but the cards backplate gets red hot very quickly so therefore i assume the pump has failed.

So from cold everything is fine till the overheat starts.

Based on this i am looking to replace the cooler if possible with either another liquid cooler or an aftermarket air cooler.

The card is out of warranty so are there any options for me please.

If you haven't already i would try and activate the 4 year warranty that comes with Aorus cards, i got my old card off fleabay and still managed to activate the extended warranty.

Take it you have listened to the pump (use empty toilet roll as an ear trumpet) to see if it is making a noise or check the temperature in the GPU-Z etc ?

If you can find one

Kraken G12 and AIO ?

OCUK range

make sure the VRM's are cooled with at least a heatsink and RAM has heatsinks too.

Yes i have listened to the pump, its just totally silent. The temps in GPUZ start at about 40c then rise to about 96c in less than 2 minutes and the PC crashes.

Surely its still got warranty gigabyte is 3 or 4 years no? or did you buy it second hand?

Thanks, i have just been looking through my emails, it was bought new by me in January 2019 and on the box it says it carries a 4 year warranty. I have just contacted the retailer and filled in a form so i wait to hear from them.
