I guess to reach that temp you would want me to disable the fans (through afterburn etc.). Is running the gpu at 90c is 'safe'? I guess you would want me to do it for only a short amount of time? thankswack it up to 90c or something and see if it fails. if it does. then u know its temperature related.
okay, well I increased the power-limits to +20% and locked the fans to 27% (I wanted to give it some cooling). It ran for over 5 minutes during the valley benchmark (with no sync), holding around 90c for mostly;It is fine, for few minutes. normaly gpus will throttle once reaching dangerous levels. if gpu carrys on on 90c for few minutes, then gpu chip might be ok after all. but if it crashes before getting to 90c then you have to keep it in range on 60-70 and maybe downclock it a bit.
