upgrade mobo from X299 Strix to a X299Encore, plug n play?

if you upgrade a Asus X299 board, so from a Strix XE to a Encore, will it be plug n play?>

I assume they use the same drivers, so a simple mobo swap out without the a fresh windows install, is that possible?

It will be fine, I went from a intel x99 to a AMD x570 setup on same windows 10 install and windows found all the drivers it needed, of course you can search for newer ones too after the system is up.

Windows 10 can deal with that no problems, even windows 7 was very good at that.
