To be fair, dlss is genius
The problem I have with DLSS is it allowed a game like cyberpunk to be considered a good game on the PC platform. The engine is trash, it turns a 1080ti into a 1080p card as an example.
To me DLSS is good if it allows a card to over perform, but it shouldnt be used to mask a horrible performing game.
Since DLSS requires a dev to implement in their game, it then also gives devs an excuse to short change on optimisation.

DLSS is no doubt great, but isn't perfected yet, and the same can be said for Ray Tracing. Likely the next gen, or the one after, is when both will really shine. Currently I am most interested in bare rasterization performance and the 6800XT is often on par, and even ahead of the 3080, and on some games, even goes past the 3090. That slight advantage over the 3080 will likely only widen with more mature drivers.
if I'm being honest, the 6800xt is the king card for my money this gen. Cheaper (at least at RRP), lower draw, and in many cases, more powerful.
Holy ShizzDid someone mention cluster f * c k earlier? Here's a picture of one, or 78 to be exact

About £10k a month according to a poster earlier so roughly 6 months payback on all those juicy 3080sHoly Shizz
Where is the money generated from so he can get the cash, someone has to pay so who is paying it? cash cant be generated from thin air
Its rare i get pulled into the what if tin foil hat crowd, but i do wonder if 5 months later my £700 payment just got used as a bitcoin investment & this entire bag of **** for the past 5 months is someone making money of my preorder, that £700 is now worth how much?

* should have added of course, if the miner then stops mining and sells them all, he/she pockets £80k+, gulp!
They have competition, AMD (although they aren't exactly rolling in stock either), AMD's cards are just as powerful as Nvidia's and offer a slightly better price/performance ratio. However, Nvidia are controlling the market with technology.
There's only one reason why you should buy a 3080 over an 6800XT, Ray Tracing, a technology which nobody cared about a little over two years ago but Nvidia did an excellent job of selling the concept so that enthusiasts lust after it.
Then there's DLSS, a technology which essentially tricks your eyes into accepting upscaled textures in order to deliver higher frame rates.
Nvidia succeeded in moving the market to suit their technology rather than creating tech to suit the market. It's genius really.
Business loan?. Set up a ltd mining company and get the VAT and tax breaks?I think he means "where is the money coming from to buy the cards in the first place?" You need to find $78k up front to build that rig.
