Keeping up with the Markles

If she is so ‘clearly a manipulative cow’ why does nobody provide any evidence for this beyond ‘I just know it’ and ‘I seen it happen to my mates’. Loads of my mates have married multimillionaires who were just after there cash!

Apart from the fact there was absolutely no issue with Harry in the spotlight with the Royal family and then when she came in it all changed.

To be honest I would be the same. I would hate to be doing charity work and living in gloomy England in some cold old castle for the rest of my days when I am used to sunning it on a Californian beech and living the good life.

As much as people like to hate the Royals and whilst the lower down ones are complete scroungers. The top ones give up so much privacy and are constantly doing work for charities and doing the right thing. It is pretty obvious that Megan doesn't want any part in that.

Maybe... just maybe, Harry decided what was best for him? I certainly wouldn't stick around if I thought the media murdered my mother, nor would I stick around having to deal with constant gossip surrounding Andrew's 'affairs'.

I agree, there's no way that a bloke like Harry would let a woman rule his life like that, he's been the motivator around this.
Like you say, he watched the media hound his mother until she died and then they started on his woman.

Just take the titles away from them both. Job done.

Won't happen, they've played things so that they keep their titles. Her title is the one thing in the world Meghan doesn't want to lose.

If she lost it, they'd split within a year.

Some people have some crazy hatred for a woman they know nothing about and have come to some crazy conclusions.

Not their own fault, in my opinion. They just know what they've seen in the headlines. I think it's naive to suggest everyone dislikes her simply due to race but I think it would be equally naive to believe that it hadn't played some part, no matter how small, in how the media (or rather POS news papers)

You can see it with how differently they reported on both Meghan and Kate when they were both doing the same things. Case in point the avocado pear nonsense; one was celebrated and one was vilified for it. It's there plain as day to see but I guess it comes down to whether you want it as an excuse to bash the woman.

The papers need to be held accountable for what they do. I don't blame the pair for wanting to be away from all of it. I think any husband worth their salt would want to protect their wife from any unwarranted stress.
If you had the ability to save your partner the stress of dealing with a bunch of immoral 'journalists' for looking at any excuse to bash her (when you saw your sister-in-law gets treated wildly different) why would you stay and watch them suffer? That's just selfish. Harry did what any person who cared for their partner would do and made sacrifices to ensure their happiness.

Fair play to them and good luck. But some rather be bitter she dared take 'their 'Arry' away rather than thinking why he did it.

I don't think people *hate* her per se, it's not like she's a bit rapey (as one Royal allegedly is) or has committed some heinous crime etc.. but there are reasons why people have taken a dislike to her, reasons for her to be criticised etc.. and I guess, when someone is reported on so widely, then those sorts of criticisms or that dislike is quite widespread.... like across a bunch of publications and on various social media platforms.

It's not like anyone is calling for her to be locked up or for bad things to happen to her etc.. they're more just grumbling about the pair of them seemingly wanting it both ways, the titles and appointments and the ability to go off and cash in on their status. They're hardly going to the US to get away from public view, they don't want press attention but also they release publicity shots to announce a new baby, get a 100million deal with Netflix, agree on a deal to appear on Opera etc... can't really have it both ways, if you keep putting yourself in the public eye you're going to get press attention and cashing in like that is something that isn't compatible with being a working Royal ergo they have had to ditch the various appointments.

Tbh he probably suddenly felt confident enough to go at it alone, if he tried that previously he'd have been shunned out instantly.

I think people forget he was the rebel child out of the two.

Double edged sword, that is.

To some people being mixed is basically black as that is how you're seen and judged.

Understand it can be a bit of a crapper from both sides. Two of my cousins are mixed (English mum, Jamaican dad) and they were always shunned by their dad's family to the point he no longer speaks to them. Their treatment was appalling.

It's just her evangilism for womens rights and racism issues , without any kind of self acknowledgment that from her middle class and mixed race position, she has not experienced the extremes of those. (like Preti Patels comments)
Failure to acknowledge that UK racism/rights problems are not as extreme too, as the USA - that's a fail.

Had a metoo moment on miscarriages and failed to acknowledge&educate that age is contributory - needs to behave responsibly if she has people who follow her.

R4 this morning, were saying she is now contemplating politics - a Sarah Palin colleague ? definitely not at Kamela Harris's level of intelligence/charysma.

Gosh it must be hard work keeping you happy all the time.

I doubt she's got the energy or inclination to try and keep everyone happy all of the time, in which case she's a sensible woman.

And you may have noticed that intelligence isn't a prerequisite for success in American politics.
