Damn, I nearly got myself an RTX3070 at £650, I added it to my basket as it was in stock, got to the checkout and it says delivery was available to my address, went straight to the payments page, clicked pay by card and then got massage saying 'we cant process this order' and I went back to my basket and it was gone !!!!

I've been round and round 3 times in the last 4 days like this with exactly the same error message, and I guess I'm not quick enough getting to the checkout.

I assume people are using bots ? does anyone know how I can get a bot so that I can buy a graphics card to build my pc ?, do they do the buying bit for you so you can get through checkout really quickly ?

I've got into the Microsoft flight simulator, but playing it on my GTX870m laptop is painful, on low settings its getting about 15-20FPS !

It feels like the wild west doing the 'walk 10 paces and turn and fire' thing !, I'm just not quick enough, I'll get myself logged in and ready to get clicking as soon as I get another alert, I'm on the discord robinhood thing and sat at my pc hands hovering ready for the next alert !! :)

Yes, apparently, 19,000 people have viewed the exact same card I added to my basket in the last 24 hours !!, that's a lot of demand for only a few cards, I'm trying to figure out if there's a faster way to auto complete checkout at the moment.
 
yeah, well... we all have been there mate... have you seen that it says "over 100.000 views in the last 24 hours" on that retailers webpage? I guess people are just using bots/scripts. Unfortunately, the average customer won't be able to buy a GPU at these prices... get ready to spend 750/800 quid instead, and you'll need luck as well.
 
You need to be super quick, stock goes within 1-2 mins.

I managed to my pre-order in with a UK retailer on 16 Feb... £719 for the MSI Gaming X Trio 3070, oh well... even UK retailers have to join in the price hike game.

Yeah, I went through that countless times. There are literally a handful of cards available (if even that, can be just 1) and thousands of people trying to buy.

All I can suggest is get into a few parts/stock alert discords. I managed to get a 3070FE this way for £480 delivered. Just be prepared for frustration and disappointment, as most times you just can’t click quickly enough.
 
the place where you'd get a 3070 for 650 are swamped with bots and campers onsite. you'd need a lot of luck and lighting finger reflex to get it done. Good luck

Thats a really good price, I bet that wasnt recently ?

I'm sat here at my computer in my office doing paperwork when I should be downstairs fixing our hydro electric generator that has been struggling with low output for the last 4 days ! :) the joys of managing your own workload :) :)
