Keeping up with the Markles

Kate might be a massive pain for all we know, the thing is that she's still in the club so I wonder if it would be brushed under the carpet.

Maybe she is sometimes, but we haven't seen her household staff resigning as they did with Megan or the bullying allegations etc..

It's not a new story tbh..

Melissa Toubati, 39, handed in her notice after working for the Duchess of Sussex for six months following the Royal Wedding because it reportedly got “too much”. The French assistant, who had worked for Robbie Williams and wife Ayda Field, had played “a pivotal role in the success of the Royal Wedding”, but has now sensationally resigned. A source told The Mirror: “Her job was highly pressurised and in the end it became too much.

There was also the issue with Kate's staff:

The explosive row about the treatment of staff, denied by the Palace, took place before Meghan and Harry’s wedding in May, the source told The Sun.

They said: “Her and Kate fell out when she b*****ked Kate’s staff.”

Kate reportedly told the former Hollywood actress: “That’s unacceptable, they’re my staff and I speak to them."

This fiery exchange was apparently a one-off, although tensions have been growing between the Duchesses.

It isn't just one staff member with a grudge.

No I mean my domestic staff.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here? The point I was making was that this was a bit of an outlier - while I don't doubt there are Royals who get upset with staff on occasions her behaviour has triggered resignations and multiple complaints.

That I want to bully my domestic staff so I can relate to M&M.

Seems like a bit of an open proxy war now between the PR teams:

Frist the Sussex's lawyers throw in this little bit, directly accusing the Palace here:

The couple’s lawyers told The Times that this newspaper is “being used by Buckingham Palace to peddle a wholly false narrative” before the interview.

However, The Times understands that the palace establishment is highly concerned that the allegations have emerged.

The sources have revealed a febrile atmosphere within Kensington Palace, where Meghan and Harry lived alongside the Cambridges after their wedding until the split between the two households at the beginning of 2019. Staff would on occasion be reduced to tears; one aide, anticipating a confrontation with Meghan, told a colleague: “I can’t stop shaking.”

Now today we've had this from the Palace:

The Times article was pretty damning tbh.. and there were multiple people who quit.

Knauf wrote in his email: “I am very concerned that the Duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year. The treatment of X* was totally unacceptable.

He added: “The Duchess seems intent on always having someone in her sights. She is bullying Y and seeking to undermine her confidence. We have had report after report from people who have witnessed unacceptable behaviour towards Y.”

The email, which also expressed concern about the stress being experienced by Samantha Cohen, the couple’s private secretary, concluded: “I questioned if the Household policy on bullying and harassment applies to principals.”

The complaint was sent to the HR department. However, one source said: “I think the problem is, not much happened with it. It was, ‘How can we make this go away?’, rather than addressing it.”

After Harry was told about the complaint a source insists he had a meeting with Knauf in which he begged him not to pursue it. Lawyers for the duke and duchess deny that any meeting took place or that the duke would have interfered with any staff matter.

Another source claimed: “Senior people in the household, Buckingham Palace and Clarence House, knew that they had a situation where members of staff, particularly young women, were being bullied to the point of tears.

“The institution just protected Meghan constantly. All the men in grey suits who she hates have a lot to answer for, because they did absolutely nothing to protect people.”

Knauf’s complaint never progressed. Two of the people named in his email are said to feel that nothing has been done to investigate the bullying claim. The following month Knauf handed in his notice.

When the households split the following March he took up a job as an adviser to the Duke of Cambridge. He is now chief executive of the Cambridges’ Royal Foundation.

The guy is not only an absolute pussy[cat], he's scared of his wife. As I said earlier, how much more of this stuff needs to come out before people start to see how toxic and damaging this woman is.

Not sure it's that simple - I mean other members of the Royal Family haven't had the same issues with staff turnover and complaints it seems - inc new members like Kate etc..

Haven't they? How would we know? You're trying to tell me that a bunch of stuck up toffs don't speak down to and treat some staff like dirt on occasion? Pull the other one its got bells on. I worked for Lord Snowdon a few times as an assistant photographer. Trust me he knew how to speak down to people and expected to be treated like royalty at all times and he wasn't even proper royalty. This stinks of a smear campaign out of Buckingham Palace.

The guy could have a hareem of 10/10 women at his beck and call and he sticks with her. She must be an absolute monster in the sack.

It's certainly true that, if the genders were reversed, there would be a much bigger outcry about the behaviour that has gone on.

Its amazing reading comments in here, its like you all know them personally and so can comment on exactly what they are both like. You only know what the tabloids tell you.

Haven't they? How would we know?

Well, if we're talking about equivalent situations then they wouldn't be working for them any longer! Did Will and Kate have two PAs quite after short periods of working for them? Or the other bullying allegations.

Again it's not just one individual and it isn't just the Palace briefing stuff, these people have actually handed in their notice too.

You're trying to tell me that a bunch of stuck up toffs don't speak down to and treat some staff like dirt on occasion?

Nope, pay attention to what I've said:

I think the hate for this women is just gross. Its like people lose all sense of logic when talking about her.

What we are witnessing is a classic PR battle, there may be some truth to everything but I bet 100% there is a shed load of spin dumped into the mix as well.

They left because of the media and this is proving once again that their decision was the correct one.
