Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

I believe aviva have results this week.
So that will cause a share price swing.

It often seems random which way it goes. Sometimes what look like great results seem to drive share prices down. And I'm not talking about just headline good figures.

Personally hoping for a big fat dividend returning

I made good money on the run up to christmas and I'm somewhat down now. I had the beginners misfortune of having some success using what seemed like common sense picking stocks, since February and around the time GameStop started (not that i got involved in that). I've struggled to see much logic in the market.

I've been using day trading apps with leverage but I'm thinking of using a more long term broker and just hold what seems like stocks that have a logical recovery and expansion ahead of them.

Day trading is exciting but unless you can actually spend your whole day getting in and out at the right times its a dangerous business....sorry to state the obvious.

I'd love to know what mid term strategies people are using and which brokers have the lowest fees for mid to long term holds.

Results were released this morning.

Hyve back up again - considering selling up.

Some people suggesting Hyve has much more room to grow, but I'm not entirely sure.

Anyone else still in with them?

Well, bought heavy into the dip on INRG today...no doubt this'll be the week it doesn't bounce :p

In at 972....looks good for the bottom so far..

I bought back in at 138.999 but only with a fairly small position double digit amount of shares

looks like they do 7 events this month, 11 the next , then 15 , looks like a bit of a decline after for a couple of months though

I think they never made a profit even before covid right, I'd still expect them to go up, they acquired a few other companies during the pandemic.

I don't know what to do with some of the money I took out of USA markets :/ so chucked some in too a dividend ETF for emerging markets and another for clean water.
still got some USA stuff I'd like to bail on but I dont know if I really should

kinda crazy how much some of the big tech stocks dropped so far like Nvidia then theres others like intel that have been at the same heights almost even back in 2018/2019

GAMESA seem to get project after project in the news yet the share price is back to where it was 3 months ago

makes me wonder if some shares are still set for a big drop like another 1/4 of their value

one of my worst performing stocks right now is AMS AG ...

people really hated the merger they did with osram and still won't let it go lol...

share price has just been free falling for about a month... the recent
Domination and Profit and Loss Transfer Agreement with OSRAM in force; ams and OSRAM to commence operations as one company
seems to have been seen as bad news as well lol.....

makes you realise how over hyped and over priced most American stocks are though when some similar new american company doing a fraction of the sensors can go to insane market caps

In on SNGX for a few weeks now. Had dropped fairly heavily but absolutely killing it in premarket due to covid vaccine news from them.

Right on the day that I was hoping to buy more to average out my price lower, damn!

Anyone know why Blue Prism is eating **** today? My ISA portfolio has only moderate gains, but should be flying if it wasn't for Blue Prism/Clean Energy ETF and Tesla keeping everything very moderate :(

Also, what's everyone doing with their NIO stock? They loading up in the dip or are people cutting their losses ditching them all together? They're clearly a long term hold, so I would like to think the former rather than the latter

Are there particular sites people use to look up Stock info? Ones like ADVFN are clunky and apparently you need to subscribe to use anything nowadays.

Going to be a sea of red today, if your a long term trader like me its best to just close all apps/websites and go for a walk

Or buy the dip! not financial advice :p

Are you able to link me to where you found their bookings information?

The way I see it, pre-covid price (post rights) average issue is around 180-200. Do I see that being beaten in the future? I'm not sure it will ever recover as much.

yeah. US bonds are being sold off since no-one wants a paltry 1.6% interest. Inflation is 2.5% over there to it actually turns out a loss. Surely that should see people sticking money into stocks rather than taking it out. Commodities and bitcoin should also be on the rise.

Well, that was not the bottom! Plug Power cratering once again dragging INRG down.

Sell-off has hit UK stuff now too.

Done a buffet and thrown all my remaining trading funds into INRG at 960.

The markets are just fixed. They all follow the same patterns at the exact same time, doesn't matter how unrelated the stocks are. I'm sure it's just some algorithm at work but it has too much Control over the market.
