not sure which one I like more, kind of leaning towards the Aorus

cant find a good review on the Aorus 3070

does anyone know if the Aorus is better than the MSI Trio X?

please dont comment '' the best one is the one you can get''

thank you :)

I think you picked the best option in the GB Aorus range for 3070.
Honestly, I didn't have much of a choice, I just waited for partalert notifications and managed to grab this one. Actually grabbed it a 1 month ago but it only shipped 1 week ago, but im glad it got shipped at least, i was starting to lose my hope...

But VRAM issue is always there so I can bail out on the card in the first signs where I feel like it's obsolete

Air-Cooler on MSI is best on the market but PCB on Gigabyte much better. If air cooling at near stock i would go for the MSI. If liquid i would go with Aurous.

I got lucky I managed to get a 3080FE recently but I would have gotten

You want to go liquid for a 3070?

I mean it’s a good card ... but :)

in the old days i would have said liquid was overkill but as the going rate for a 3070 is 700 sheets you might as well stick a block on it if you already have a loop.

Mind you I do have 2000W of radiator capacity on my 5700XT so perhaps i am not the right person to get an opinion from :)

some other things to note

aorus has more video outputs
4 yrs warranty vs 3yrs
has dual bios apparently? I just read on gigabyte site
and people on here saying better PCB design?
I wouldnt imagine it being far behind the trio x in temps but I really dont know
also has a gimmicky lcd which could be cool I guess

tough one

I only have a 3060ti and 3080, but my experience is that the 3060ti just does not heat up much because it does not have GDDR6X.

IMHO you will be fine with a 3070 on air. If you already have the block ... why not use it though.

If you plan to overclock aggressively the 3070 as well then it would make sense too.

I got my girlfriend an aorus 3070, and have personally used a 3080 Suprim X(now on 3090 version of it).

Aorus 3070 seems to be designed to be quiet, more than anything else. It's really nice how quiet it is even with the fans ramped up. The LCD display is pretty neat too. Principally however the 3 HDMIs and 3 DPs are extremely convenient to have, unlike most that only have 4 ports.
I think with the aorus you can get a reasonable clock, and it would give you great performance.
The only thing I would say is that parts of the backplate feel a little cheap for a premium aib.

You won't be disappointed with the card!

i finally got the card, and honestly it's a really premium card. managed to stay under 64 degrees with 260w power consumption in rdr 2 at 4k resolution

it really is silent, and i have yet to change its fan setting, i dont consider changing it

performance is good, it can stay near 1980-1995 mhz in many agmes. overclocking headroom seems to be there, but i dont need it for the time being

im generally very pleased and of course i have a very positive feedback because its first time i have such a good gpu :p

i can recommend it, though stocks are still a problem. i would say card deservers its extra price compared to other 3070 cards
