Hi,

These seem to get a decent press, VAG group but being SEAT/Cupra you get almost all the 'bell & whistles' without getting taken over a barrel.

Same engine that's in RS3/Golf R, styling might be a bit 'marmite' but I quite like it, anybody got one?

You might be confusing a few models, it's the VZ5 that has the RS3 engine but that's only coming to the UK in LHD

Ah indeed, the 4 pot engine that's in the Golf R not the 5 pot that's in the RS5 (which will be in the VZ5)

The S3/TTS uses the same engine as the golf R etc

The Rs3/TTRS is the 5 pot, I dont think VW has an equiv, nor did SEAT until this point

Around 300bhp is the highly tuned 4 pot, around 400bhp is the 5 pot

Some black magic going on with these things! Quicker to 60 than a 981 Cayman S despite having less power and weighing about 300kg more. What the?!

if you're going to get one go for the VZ5 , it will be very unique for the Cupra group probably one of the last of this type of engine with all efforts on electrification now

I’ve got to be honest and say it’s a flip up between this and an EV, probably a Polestar 2. The only thing making me think ‘last ICE’ is the fact I currently do so few miles.
