Thanks, we have some samples from them on the way, I find it hard to judge properly from a little piece though, would prefer to see a full deck done. My preference has always been real wood (Siberian larch) but the guy installing it for us is pushing more for the composite (I'm guessing it's easier for him) so if we did go composite, we'd want it to look as close to real wood as possible - from the pictures I've seen of the select premium, it looks pretty realistic, for the price.

Thanks, I have looked at the NeoTimber but the solid stuff is just out of our price range. Yeah, I have noticed some don't have the tramlines, we definitely don't want screws through the surface. If we go real wood, we are looking at using the Camo system but the price of screws is ridiculous, think they will cost around £300
This is laid smooth side down. Only need 1 screw per clip. This has been in about a year I think in a south facing garden on the south coast so plenty of sunshine hits it.
Ignore the dodgy joins, its my fist time laying stuff and just emphasises the need for the correct tools.
Its cuts like wood but weighs quite a bit more. I think each 3.6m length is about 10kg.
Its delivered in packs of 4, lightly wrapped but definitely a 2 person lift as its flexes quite a bit if you just stick it on your shoulder.

We looked at a fair few different composite options, but the Millboard enhanced grain stood out head and shoulders over the rest in terms of how it looked and felt, and backed by a 25 year guarantee too. We've had it a year now and it still looks absolutely great IMO. Not cheap but very good quality.

Yes i believe so, this is what our builder recommended. I think we settled on Brushed Basalt. It look a different colour in different lights.
