Overclockers.co.uk: Queue Position of Asus GeForce RTX 3080 TUF Gaming 10GB GDDR6X PCI-Express Graphics Card

I've added a new cell-field in the source spreadsheet call "Production Lag" which is the difference in days between the estimated delivery date (blue line reaching zero) vs. the queue position delta (red line reaching zero). Current the lag is 65 days, or in other words until the red and blues meet, the blue trend line ending at a estimated "2021-06-04" is meaningless.

If u change the trend line to and order 2 or 3 polynomial it might take into account better the slow down queue advancement. I'm not claiming slow down in production but those in the queue still are less likely to cancel now compared to early on. In other words, if you are still here you are probably stubborn

every customer ticks a box to agree to the terms & conditions as outlined on our website
A sentence of note:
1.4 ...acceptance of your offer to buy the goods will not take place until the Supplier has shipped your order.

That has interesting ramifications. Also, I can tell these T&Cs are pre-Covid. I sign for parcels, do I?!

True, although Amazon haven't changed their T&C on that side of things either I noticed.
It really doesn't matter in the long run since statutory rights still protect you if there is something wrong.

So disappointing. I only moved up by 10 and now 943.

that's a REALLY complicated question without a simple answer but as it stands right now we have absolutely no 3080s at all incoming, from any brand.

i saw some 3080s in stock today, MSI Suprim and Gigas

The retail asking price for the suprim was £1299, this was not a auction scalp price, it was a genuine store price ! £1299, i bought the EXACT same card only 2 months ago for £899 and that was a high price

Also the price for 3060s, omg we are talking 700+!

3090s wont even go there

auctioneers are now charging crazy pricces

Now im thought the GPU situation was getting better?!! But this is on a next level now and somthing clearly needs to be done, but nothing happening

Why cant there be a plan of action between the Manufacturers, the distributors and the retailers?> why cant they have a skype meeting and come to a conclusion

this is the craziest situation...

Sounds to me like they are making a loss on cards so want people to cancel knowing they can sell for a higher price when stock does eventually arrive. Not that my Gigabyte Eagle 3080 ever looks like it will arrive :/

Anyone had any luck asking to move to the back of a lower queue? Thinking moving to a more expensive Gigabyte would make sense as actually getting some stock although no idea how much they would charge.

I’m not cancelling too late for that waited 6 months already soo far hopefully will improve just when that is.

I understand that you I’m still happy to wait our orders won’t be cancelled automatically unless we do an online form correct?:)

Would you happen to know if something has changed recently? I'm 8th in line at the moment for a 3090 Xtreme and a few have actually recently been delivered so I wouldn't have thought it the best idea for me to cancel?

I’m at 926 in the queue and with no extra funds I won’t be cancelling neither. I spent like £3000 total for a build and obviously waiting for this last part to complete it. Now the card is £180 more than when I bought it back in October.

115th for the ASUS strixx OC and i am a patient guy but I am almost at my end here, imma hold out a little longer to see if stock gets better but that isn’t looking too great

I'm 32nd in queue for the Gigabyte 3080 Gaming OC, so I'm still up for waiting.

Damn since the 19th of December I went from 582 to 377 in the Strix OC queue, nice to at least see a number now and not be left in the dark anymore.

i would like to know exactly how many orders has oc put in for these cards ?. but i bet there is no reply to this question. are they just putting a few orders in at a time or has they should have ordered them as soon as we paid our money ?

I’m not cancelling too late for that waited 6 months already soo far hopefully will improve just when that is.
OcUK have the right to cancel if they can't foresee filling the order. IMO they should have done that months ago.

if that's what you want to believe but regardless what oc wants you to think a contract dos exists. for a number of reasons . 1) there was no mistake in the listing . 2) they did not refund in the specified time 3) the fact that they took full payment therefor
acknowledging the contract.

the contract . them just posting that no contract exsists untill delivery is not acceptable.

Let's be brutally honest if your more then 50 in the queue or have ordered anything from EVGA you are never going to receive your back order so long as the mining market holds up (for those of you who havn"t seen Gibbo's latest update go read it as it's an eye opener).

Most likely outcome is the cards you ordered will go EOL at some point this year and all your back orders will be cancelled to make room for the mid life refresh.

Best bet is to wait and see if the mining boom dies off at which point you scoop up 2nd cards from the usual places that sells 2nd hand stuff.

Fella', you're working to hard, take a week off without internet access, or at least to work stuff, I've just done two weeks off with covid and it was the best two weeks in the last year. Yes that's how ****** things are!

This is one **** poor situation to be in.

Pretty bad to wait so long and then get slapped with the, you may as well get a refund and look for a card elsewhere.... That would have been nice to know 4+ months ago before the prices sky rocketed. I would have ordered a FE 3090 from competitor when they had them in stock as they where cheaper than the going rate for a 3080 now. Instead I'm sitting here with a full system that all pretty much came from OCUK and I'm let down by the graphics card.

So only a few options are really available to me:

#1 Wait and hope for a 3080 and pray that I get lucky before all the pre-orders get cancelled as the cost price is taking the sugar out of everyone's tea. I'm 27th In the Inno3d x4 queue been there for over a month now but only 20 cards have come in since launch, so I think I'm an unlucky C u next Tuesday.
#2 Wait and hope I get a free upgrade or a cost price 3090 from OCUK, yeah, I'm an unlucky C u next Tuesday
#3 Wait and hope I get get xfered to a queue for the upcoming 3080TI(would pay the difference in price) which I suspect given the rumours will be announced in April
#4 Open an onlyfans account, spin the helicopter about in pictures and videos and hope that I make enough to buy a card from a scalper.
#4 Contact Jim'll Fix It and hope that with the minimum of touching. That I can get to meet Jensen Huang and give him a good slap around the show! Maybe spin him around his kitchen a few times before sticking his head in the oven. Then rob him!
#6 Get a refund, open up an online casino account and stick it all on black.

Sad times, really sad times....

As was said in October you were not closing backorders and left it too late, out for the fast buck and it is has been hitting you for months now.
Hence why you still have thousands of backorders and distribution is not going to favour you just because you have an issue of your own making.

Yeah, they really screwed the pooch. As I've said before, if this is how product launches have been handled by OC up to now then it's not so much that this launch has been unlucky as they've been lucky up to now and this launch has been a harsh lesson. Classic case of biting off more than you can chew.

Nice to see some apologies today at least. They've been like Bigfoot in the last couple of months, rumoured to exist but no physical evidence to confirm. Probably several months too late to be starting damage control though.

I personally can’t afford to cancel, not for the fact that cards are more expensive, I have bought a full custom water loop banking on getting my eagle, I’m gonna hold on til the end. Worst case scenario, it does get to a point that I can upgrade to a gaming or vision, the block will still fit, so there’s that.

What position are you in the queue?

I'll give it another couple of months. Currently got a 1660ti which I managed to get for £200 so ill make do with that for now. I'm hoping what with the Chinese new year over, things improve soon.
