So I recently upgraded to the Aorus Elite, I also upgraded to 16gb of Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600. When I run the XMP profile on the board I get a BSOD a couple of times a day. I tried manually adjusting timings as the timing shown aren't the same as the RAM spec and I don't understand it enough apparently as I couldn't then boot without resetting cmos.

Any idea if I can somehow add a different profile to the MB? I did update the bios but that didn't help.

Thanks, I guess if you can't download different profiles I'll be pestering in the RAM section!

Same RAM here, also had BSODS with XMP to start with. Manually set frequency to 3600mhz and upped voltage to 1.40v, then fine with memtests. Also OC to 4000mhz @ 1.50v works fine. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply, it actually just did it without XMP enabled which is mildly worrying!

I have however enabled the profile and upped voltage to 1.45v, I guess I'll see how that goes, I'll drop it down to 1.40v if it remains stable, for now I'm hoping it lets me get some work done before I tinker again.

Mine was caused by samsung/micron mix of the 4 sticks, even though all same serial number LPX.

After following some guides I was still having issues, I've dropped to 3400 and it's been perfectly stable for the last day and a half. I've just sent a web message to the competitor I bought it from, will see what they say.

Alex, the RAM is brand new, I have got another system with a 6700k in it, would it be worth trying it in that?

I definitively fell for the 'Ryzen Optimised' marketing BS here.

Yeh try it in the 6700k system see if any issues atleast youll know if ram is faulty or not

RAM should have no problems at all running at the advertised speeds. I'd send them back (if the RAM is definitely the issue) Have you updated the Mobo's bios to the latest version?

Did you get this sorted mate

Still having issues, I've just removed on stick to see if that works better, as well as following this guide for settings - https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/blog/ryzen-3000-memory-overclocking-guide

If this works then I guess I'll swap sticks, I haven't had a chance to swap RAM to the other machine yet.

BIOS is on latest version yes.

Searching online it seems LOADS of people are having problems with this RAM.

The response from the company I bought it from was "As with most CPU's the maximum supported speed of RAM is 3200, anything above this is classified as an overclock and is not guaranteed to work or be stable."

That sounds like BS to me to be honest.

Yeh sounds about right for retailer get out clause that ive always used team group memory with ryzen myself

My only get out is that it still fails on stock speeds! Although I'm still not 100% if it's just some config on my board that I'm missing..
Ok when i built mine 3700x with elite board and first off 16 gig which i later sold then upgraded to 32 gig 2x16 the only thing in bios i touched was xmp and it booted straight away that was it stressed system no crashes or freezing not at pc at mo but think its profile 1 in xmp if i remember right hope this helps you

Yes it arrived, and all was going well until today when I suffered two crashes! This install has not gone well..

I risked the RAM as the better half needs an upgrade anyway, so no loss there but I'm now stumped.

Could it be a faulty MB? Or do I need to change more MB settings? Maybe CPU voltage or something? I've never ran OC ram before so maybe I'm missing something.
