Being a 'visual' thing, I posted it here.
Apologies if it should be in a different forum.

Basically, over the last few days (and nothing has changed or updated on my PC as far as I know) this has started happening for me.

Always in the same place no matter how many times I rewind.
Same place even when using different browsers to watch YouTube.

Have confirmed this is not on any other PCs, but please use this link of the video and have a watch to see if it happens for you.

Not just this video either. Have seen it on multiple videos with varying sizes of flicker.

The only advice I can seem to find online is 'turn hardware acceleration off' which I did and it had no effect.

Also note...
1) My GFX drivers are up to date on my RX5700 and haven't been updated recently
2) This happens when using any of my monitors whether DisplayPort or HDMI
3) Doesn't happen when I play MP4s

Literally no idea how to even go about fixing this :(
Help?

Help?

Not sure but maybe you need a new better cable? I was using a dp cable when I got my 5700 last year, had wierd graphics issues - tried everything. Got a better cable... Everything worked. Although my graphics issues were bios and other related.

Nahhhh, getting the flash on every one of my 3 monitors.
Unlikely that 3 cables all went bad in exactly the same way at the same time :(

This might sound odd but, just as a test, disconnect (not just disable in Windows, physically disconnect) any additional monitors - have just one connected when you play it. Does the problem still happen?

It might just be youtube itself... something similar happened to me yesterday, altough I could still see the image, it was all green. I was using the phone. It went back to normal after an advertisement.

i got the exact same green screen as well. i dont think it is your monitor or card. i think it was the video render issue.

the fact it occurs at the same time stamp on my computer as yours confirms it is a video stream issue

Same when I follow your link on my Android phone using the YT app.
Same also on my main PC using a 3070 GPU, following your link.
Isn't it the case of the issue being with YT than your card...?

Yeah, I have had a very similar thing happen on several different youtube channels. I can go back in the video and it will happen at exactly the same moment every time so it definitely seems like a youtube thing. I'm glad I saw this on here as I thought I was going crazy when I couldn't see much online about it (other than a couple of reddit posts)!

Phew....

Glad to hear it's a more widespread thing and my PC isn't about to throw a wobbly.

Still wonder why it's happening to some people and not others?
Very mysterious!!
Who knows.

had it on a couple of videos on my iPad, thought it might have been an upload/encoding issue. Which I guess it could be, but issue definitely seems more like Youtube's side.

Yeah its the video, if you play the ops main YT video, pause it, and then scroll along the timeline to 5/6secs, you'll see the Green screen.

This... its nothing to do with your system, somehow its embedded in the video, and yes i have seen it with other videos, its a problem with Youtube.

had a green flash too watching youtube on my ipad last night. i just thought it was a glitch in the video until i saw this thread so looks like something on their end.

I also had this a few times in the week hahah. I restarted my PC and it went away, 100% a youtube issue. I booted up a game and ran that for a while with no issue just to be sure.
