Hi Guys,

So earlier this year i built my new machines (Spec's Below). But i kept my old NVIDIA GTX 1060 to keep the cost down but now i am looking to upgrade. Don't want to break the bank but looking for something that will improve the system and last a few year like my 1060 has. I looked at the RTX 3060 Ti as a possibility but ill be honest i don't know what i am looking for with a GPU.

Any help and advise would be really appreciated. Thanks

Difficult to say because its the worst time to buy a graphics card if I were you I would stick with the 1060 for another 6-8 months as unless you want to pay £250+ or more over normal prices you are not going to get anything new.

As above, its not a good time to buy a gpu as they are overpriced and hard to find. If prices and stock get back to normal a AMD 6800 or 6700xt are the current cheaper AMD graphics cards that would be a good balance for that system. The Nvidia 3060ti as you highlighted is excellent with the 3070 around 10 to 15% faster on average so not worth hundreds more for, but it is in stock more often. The 3060ti is more a 1080p card and the 3070 a 1440p, but it all depends on the game.

cant link it but if you search a popular auction site someone has 10+ for £269 delivered and good feedback always risky but paypal should protect you

It doesn't matter, you can't buy a new card anyway.

I'd stick with your 1060 for another six months and see what availability is like then.
