3080 Ti just had their release dates and specs leaked online. According to Videocardz the Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti will get 10240 CUDA Cores and 12GB GDDR6X memory

its gonna be out by the end of April, im dreading to think what it will take to get my hands on one.

And the cost, apparently there will be 4 times as much as stock on the 3080ti compared to the 3080s but this will still not be enough.

It will be around $1000 usd so this might just stop the 3080 ridiculous prices or it may backfire and make the 3080ti even more expensive than the 3080....

There will never be enough supply, the mining demand is virtually unlimited from the big players.

Surprised its 12gb vram.

Probably just going to wait out until the next generation at this point.

I don’t know, shouldn’t big players buy dedicated? It’s mostly medium to small players buying GPUs isn’t it?

If the supply increases it will kill mining by increasing difficulty unless the coin price rises in par?

May take a while though.

Keep the SKUS coming and keep pumping them out...

Inevitably, GPU mining profitability will eventually start to taper off as it always does and we will see a mass flood into the used market.

If one thing the last year has taught me is that so many folk buy PC components on credit and will jump at the first sign that price will tank - I got 3 RTX 2080Ti's for under £500 each on the day of the Ampere announcement with folk desperately trying to claw back some cash for the next big thing.

AMD has been pumping out more RX 6000 series cards than any other high end card before it and Nvidia is running flat out too..

When the bubble pops ... it will be delicious.. and I say that as someone who holds crypto and mines when the machines would otherwise be idle.

dont think its all mining

the amount of people building desktops when working from home is massive

With their Ethash limiters, these new cards probably aren't going to make very good miners, though, are they?

Already been a Driver from nvidia that "accidentally" de-limited the hashrate on the 3060...

Long and short of that whole escapade is as long as there is someone that wants it unlocked it will be unlocked.. I mean it only took a few weeks for the 3060 to be unlocked both by 3rd party and by an accidental NV driver.. and that's not even the card that mining farms (who NV want to ship directly to) would be hankering for.

Which third party unlocked it? I know there were reports a couple of weeks back, but that was a different algorithm.

It was only unlocked by Nvidia's mistake and that's not one they're likely to make again.

And even then, you can only get full speed in 8x slots, which isn't too efficient for miners as there aren't too many boards with an abundance of 8x slots.

10240 CUDA cores makes the 3090 a bit pointless.

Won't be long before the 3090 goes EOL.

Will there be FE models? If not, the prices are going to be ridiculous.

True I just dont get the "excitement" some people seem to have over this card as though its a mythical beast and will be the best 3xxx series to get.
If you cant buy existing releases now what makes people think they are going to get a 3080ti ? There were posters champing at the bit with its 20gb of VRAM now supposedly 12gb.
If all those people thinking the 3080 shortage is because they are making 3080ti cards. Yeah right believe it if I physically sees it.

More chance of winning the lottery and reading the news today about factory/foundry fires and problems it ain't going to get any better.

People keep blaming mining when the supply was too low anyway ...
Mining make it worse but you would not get a card without hunting for one even without mining ...

Are you not concerned about buying used cards that have been thrashed 24/7 with no warranty?
