GTX 1050ti relaunched!

This is just profiteering by Nvidia. The GPU is made on an old process node, which isn't in demand as much as new ones. It also uses GDDR5 which again is made on older process nodes, and won't have the demand GDDR6/GDDR6X has.

The question is - will AMD follow along, as i heard there are plenty of 560/570 and 590 in channel that could be used

The 1050ti is effectively the minimum viable product for gaming. They know people will pay for it, that's why it's back. The 1050ti also works well for OEM's as it can be run on PCIE power alone with the lower power variants, it's a versatile card.

I'm personally surprised at this point that they don't start making 1070 ti's too, assume the old 14nm fabs would be in the money again if they still exist at scale.

There seems to be a bunch of older models making a comeback and getting regularly restocked. The 2060 and 2060S in particular have been popping up everywhere, at crazy pricing naturally. The 1600-series cards also seem to be being restocked and are nicely gouged when they are.

Mostly seems to be the same handful of lower-end Gigabyte and Palit models too, so I don't know if they just had a bunch of old stock to shift.

Fairly sure they have restarted the production of the SKU's, presumably the high demand offset the restart cost, given that the 2060 super's "new" msrp is higher than the 3060's.
The 2060 is on TSMC 12nm, so assume those specific Fabs had some space.
